'HELP!' Screamed Skylar but it was no use, the house was lit, Sammy was gone and they were toast!

It was dark outside and the sky was a mix of grey-black an ugly colour. Nobody seemed to of been walking about outside, maybe they had seen Skylars dad on the loose! Sammy was tied up in the car boot  and who knew where she would of gone to, joined in with Debbie?

The three of them were bracing themselves for death and heartache. Nothing could stop the house from burning into flames and nobody would be able to see or hear them screaming in the burning house.

'Hey guys, I love yas!' Said Max, he sounded like he meant it and was scared. He gripped Skylars hand tighter and James on her other hand. She tried to twist her arms free, worth a go right? Her hands were a bit wet from not only sweat but the suds/water fight before. Skylar was only a tiny fragile little thing so she kept on trying to twist and twist and finally one of her hands were out!

'Guys! My arm is free, wait let me untie use!' She sounded delighted but her voice was a little bit muffled.  The boys stared at each other while she was untying herself. They tried twisted free but it just made their hands turn red from the rope burns!

'Im free, c'mon let me do it.'

Luckily they were free and they needed to get out now because the fire was spreading quicker and quicker by second. They ran over towards the door but Shaun must of locked it shut! Damn! They tried banging on the windows and James picked up a chair to throw at the window, no use. Now they were going to die, tied up or not!

'Yay, one minute we are tied, then we are not, now we are locked  in! He thought this plan through and through.' James said brushing his hair back with his hands. He looked pretty again but nervous so did Max but he looked more sick compared to nervous.

'Guys, upstairs the windows are easily to break go!' Skylar  screamed. The boys rushed out into the hallway grabbing Skylars hand along with them. The stairs were on fire to! DAMN! Max squeezed between the fire and the wall and Skylar let out a  massive yelp, she thought it had set him on fire luckily it didn't! Close one... James held is hand out for Skylar to hold and they were up the stairs before they knew it but it was spreading and only had a matter of moments left. They ran into Skylars room, picked up her lamp and James wacked it off of the window. The cracked slightly but not much, the window wasn't broken. Then Skylar dashed over the room and picked up a chair, it worked! Window was smashed into a million tiny pieces. A spiked gate was outside of the window down below, if they were going to jump it would of been hard not to kill yourself on that! Max looked down and went pale sick but nothing stopped him he jumped out and landed on the floor, he was so close but saved from it. Blood poured from his hand, I guess that wasn't so safe... James held Skylar is his arms and  gave her a hug, he then picked her up and wrapped her around himself. They were going to jump out together! He started to count to himself for preparation.

'Three.' They stood their positions, 'Two.' He grabbed her tightly, 'One.' He rushed out through the window and landed down on the ground, not so much on two feet. Skylar rolled out of his arms and was safe so were the boys.

The house flared up high and bits of ash off the flames fell down onto them, it was burning hot and the smoke was incredible! Not so much in a good way. It felt hot and the smoke came down suffocating the earth before them. They pulled the tops of their shirts around their mouths to save a bit of air. They crawled on the floor, all the energy was out of them. Nobody was around  to help and the closest of neighbours were down the road a bit. Skylar  reached the gate and James, Max were just behind her. She dragged herself up and pulled herself through on the footpath. They all stood and Skylar sank into James' arms crying for her life.

Down the road there was a nice lit up house and an old woman lived there, Mrs Croxton, she was a lovely lady and quite a character. She had a daughter, Sophie, she stopped by at the café and Skylar sometimes seen her passing down to go to college. Skylar knocked twice onto the door, Mrs Croxton answered and said in a sweet horrified voice, 'Ooh hello there dolls, my dally, your all bleeding, come, come, ill clean you all up.'

Her little house was lovely and calming, Skylar called a fire brigade for the house. They came not long after the call. The house seemed quite? She asked the lovely old woman, 'Where's your daughter?' She glanced at Skylar and replied, 'Ive been asking myself that question for a few days to. Now cuppa tea?'
