Now don't lose your fight, kid,
It only takes a little push to pull on through,
With so much left to do;
You'll be missing out, and we'll be missing you.

If Allie had jumped off the twentieth floor of her apartment building at 9:03 pm on the 21st of January, 2013, she would've plummeted straight towards the muddy, gravelly ground below. The impact would've left her with several broken ribs painfully stabbing into her lungs and intestines, shards of her skull slicing into her brain, her spine broken in four places, a total of eleven broken bones, and still very much alive.

If Allie had jumped off the twentieth floor of her apartment building at 9:03 pm on the 21st of January, 2013, she would've taken her last breaths in the back of a speeding ambulance in the presence of twenty two year old Camilla Rodriguez, making hers the first of a total of forty three deaths Camilla would witness in her lifelong career as a paramedic.

If Allie had jumped off the twentieth floor of her apartment building at 9:03 pm on the 21st of January, 2013, her funeral would've been held at the St. Paul's Church on the 25th of January, 2013, attended by her parents, her fourteen year old sister Diana, her best friend Charlie, and the entire Class of 2013 of Andrew Morris High School.

If Allie had jumped off the twentieth floor of her apartment building at 9:03 pm on the 21st of January, 2013, Charlie would've returned home from Allie's funeral, headed straight to his room, locked himself in, lifted the loose floorboard under his bed, and injected himself with a four per cent solution of cocaine for the first time in six months and eleven days.

If Allie had jumped off the twentieth floor of her apartment building at 9:03 pm on the 21st of January, 2013, Diane would've returned home from the funeral, headed straight to her room, and stared at the wall for five hours and thirty two minutes, wondering if Allie would've been alive at that moment, if she had asked her what was wrong that one time she saw Allie crying into her pillow.

But Allie did not jump off the twentieth floor of her apartment building at 9:03 pm on the 21st of January, 2013. Instead, she sighed deeply, and decided she was going to give this- this living thing- another shot.
