I waited for an eternity, only leaving to find Smile and tie him up (the police officers following me like homeless puppies). When I could see Briana through one of the windows, my legs moved without my control. I pushed the double wooden doors open. I let my legs move me, even though the cops were chasing me down the long hall.

She looked up when I was three feet away. I saw her smile and throw open her arms. I grabbed her by the ribs and pulled her off the ground. I was slipping, doing a 360 without my consent on the wet tile. I was cursing in my mind, but Briana laughed and I smiled wider.

The cops spoiled it. I go a rifle in the back. I could feel Davis smiling smugly. "They're arresting me," I whispered.

"They can't," she cried. I felt a warm liquid drip on my cheek. All I could do was hold her tighter.

"Let the girl go, Smith," Davis hissed.

"No," I growled. I could feel the Urge get stronger.

"Now!"

"NEVER!!" I ripped the gun for the first cop, slammed the butt in his face, then flipped it around to shoot Davis in the chest. I didn't miss.

I watched as Jeff cut the police down. Each one hit the floor dead. I couldn't look anyway. I couldn't move. All I could do was watch. It clinged to my brain like a cat to a tree.

"JEFF!" I cried. I didn't know what else to do. He turned towards me, one eye a normal white with a blue iris. The other was a bit red and the iris looked like a destroyed gray. I stepped back. He stepped forward.

"Briana..."

"Jeff, please stop." I felt behind me for the visitors desk or any warm bodies. I found the cold wood first and was pushed against it. Jeff's arms blocked any escape. He put his face nearly two inches away from mine.

"Briana... I-I... I figured out way I CARE so MUCH! I-" he laughed to himself. "I think I... L-LOVE you..."

"No, Jeff..."

I watched his smile widen and twitch in the corner. Under the bleached skin, hints of red appeared. I blushed in return, to confused and scared to do anything else. "Briana... Run away... with me..." he whispered. He looked me in the eyes and I felt the same pain he did. For some odd reason, I felt the same heart breaking pain he did. But mine was different. I didn't love him back...

"I... I think-" I started to choke out.

"Run away with me..." he asked again.

Without an answer, he picked me up and ran from the hospital. The sirens. The empty lot with the Coming Soon: Raven Lake Apartments sign. The train tracks. Smile, who wanted to follow, but had a bloody chain around his massive neck. He threw me on the floor, and he fumbled with something. I yelped on impact, my bandaged and scarred arm hitting the carpet first. Some blood appeared on the bandage, but not much.

Jeff stared at it with a glaze over his eyes. He made a weird hiss noise and ran for his room. I just sat there, questioning how much longer my sanity would stay intact. I didn't feel insane... Just tired, hungry and confused. Jeff came back and his eye was red any more. Back to it's soul sucking blue.

"You wear concacts!" I blurted out.

"Really? You saw the apartment sign. We're in the middle of the woods. Any questions?" His eye seemed to twitch.

"I watch a lot of cop show and I'm pretty sure you scared everyone away and force some poor soul to pay for water and electricity."

"Cop shows... BLEH!! I like the shows where I win," he fell to his knees and towered over me. "AND YOU LOOSE.."

"Why aren't you calm anymore?"

"Because a kid at the h-hospiTAL," his face twisted with disgust, "-helped me realize... I'M NOT SCARY ANYMORE! YOU WOMEN FORCE YOUR FANDOMS UPON ME AND MAKE CUTE!! AM I CUTE!? NO!!"

"Keep the spit inside your mouth, please," I growled.

"I WILL PUT MY SPIT WHERE EVER I WANT! You see, I own you now! Your MINE!"

"Jeff, I don't think I feel the same way..." My head sang 'Oh god, I'm gonna die.'

"You... WHAT!?"

"The deal was I'd be your friend. Not your girlfriend."

He grabbed me by the neck and shoved me to the ground. "You don't know what I've been through for you. I should have killed you like the rest," he hissed.

"R-rest?"

His grip tightened to where I was breathing uncomfortably. "First, there was the girl that promised she was different. You know, emo hair. Hates the world. I liked her for a week. Then, when she broke her promise about helping me kill, I destroyed her!" He paused to laugh.

"Then, the next was the fan girl! Oh, it was fun... for about five minutes. She was nice and worshipped me. But, then she got SO ANNOYING! I HAD TO SHUT HER UP!"

His grip loosened and he bent down to whisper in my ear. "And then there's you... Your quiet and weak. You have the courage to be funny, but you can't do anything else... That's why your a good choice! I could do anything to you and you. can't. do. ANYTHING!"

I punched him in the gut.
