School has ended and I'm glad to see the end of this crazy day. Julie drags me to a quiet place at stairway near the playground leading to the special rooms building.
'Can I... Take a look at your arm?' asks Julie.
'Thought you would never ask.'
I peel off the bandage for her. That tattoo is actually pretty cool. But now that I know Julie has one too, I don't want people to thing that we get matching tattoos as a couple...
'So, you have noticed the tattoo on my hand.'
'Yea, it fell off in swimming lesson.'
Julie nods solemnly and traces my tattoo with her fingertip.
'Our tattoo is symmetrical. Do you think it's a pair of...'
'Wings.'
'And your tattoo just appeared out of no where this morning, right?'
Julie looks at me with a really intense look.
'Yes.'
'Do you feel a surge of energy when you get near me?' Julie asks shyly.
'I see. You like me.' I tease.
'No.' Julie stomps her feet. 'Answer me.'
I put my hands in the air as sign of surrender.
'Ok. Yes. I felt it. And the fast pace swimming. Something is off.'
'Should I tell him about the toilet ghost?'
''What about the toilet ghost?'
There's a frown on Julie's face.
'I didn't said anything.'
'I really think I heard her.'
'You didn't!'
'Wow. Hell yea! We have telepathy powers.'
'That's inconvenient...'
'What if he knows about my collection of unicorns at home, I'll kill myself.'
'And why will you have unicorns at your home, Julie. You are like 16!'
'Shoot. Ok I tell you the first thing we do is learn how to shield our thoughts from each other.'
'But you will still let me cheat from you at exam, right?'
'N,O.No!'
'Ok, try to tell me with your mind that I'm handsome.'
'You look hideous.'
'Hey I think there's some malfunctioning. I hear you say I'm ugly.'
'I meant it.'
Julie's cell phone beeps. There's a message.
'Omg. Jeremy asked Allison out. She is so lucky. I wish someone would date me. I want a boyfriend...Shit did you hear me? Jerk!'
'What I can't control it! You think too loud.'
'Ok you have to think of an embarrassing fact and try to shield it from me.'
'What if I can't?'
'Then I'll hear it. Hey you have to. I just let you hear two of my most embarrassing thoughts.'
'Hey, wanting a boyfriend is not embarrassing. I want a girlfriend too.'
'Just do it!'
'I think I like Natasha from our class.'
'WHAT?'
Julie shoots right up from her seat.
'She is cute, isn't she?'
'Not so cute when she left me and Allison do the whole world war 1 project last year! She is proud and not willing to participate as if she's too good for those.'
Julie arches her brows and and her nose flares a little. Cute.
'Wait I think I know how to block a thought. You... Can't hear me just now, right?'
'Yea. How?'
'Could you feel that when we are talking in telepathy, your ears and skull ring a little.'
'Yes. Go on.'
'There's a notch and we carelessly triggered it. Try to feel it.'
'Where?'
'Here.'
I touch her temples with my fingers. Julie looks at me in the eye. We hold our gazes for a second or so when she breaks our connection.
'Thanks.'
She just nods and shy away.
'Could you hear me?'
'No.'
'We did it!'
'What are you two doing?'
Shit! It's Natasha.
'School has ended like half an hour ago. Why are you two sitting here? You two...'
'It's nothing. She is just my counsellor. I was meaning to ask you... Do you want to go to the Halloween dance with me?'
'Sure.'
Natasha takes my arm and drags me away from Julie.

We are assigned readers at school. This year's one is called 'The Giver'. Jonas is assigned a family. How would he feel when he know that his parents aren't his birth parents? The book also says that the people do not have memories of the past generation... The past. My memory very strange. I have those oddly clear memories of everything knowledge from school. And for my childhood memories I don't think I remember much of it. Well at least I just know the general outline of my life. Where I went to kindergarten, where I went to primary school who were the teachers. These details are oddly clear it stands out. I don't even need to recall to remember these. But for what I play or what I do in the past before middle school, I have no memory at all...
