Melissa's POV

FLASHBACK:

I walked into my new room. Light brown walls, white vintage furniture, and white silky comforter on a king size bed, and a crystal chandelier that made your mouth drop when you walk in. I walked around the room in awe. My mother walked in. "You like it." She said with a smile. I nodded. I walked over to her giving her a hug. "Thank you." I said and she hugged me back. It was the best feeling in the world. I wanted it to stay like this forever. Then the lights started flickering. "Mom what's going on?" I asked her. "Just go fill up as many jugs of water you can." She said and ran out of my room. I didn't hesitate. I sprinted into the kitchen. Mom must had known this was going to happen because she put ten jugs of water on the pearly white counters. I grabbed on and put it in the sink. I turned on the faucet and watched the water pour into the jug until it was full. I took the jug out of the sink and replaced it with a new one. This process went on and on until I had filled up seven jugs. Then the faucet stopped. There was no more water. Everything stopped working. Mom came in with backpacks. "What's going on mom?" I asked her. "I will tell you later honey. Just help me get these jugs in the wagon." She said. "Mom I'm scared." I said softly. "Me two but we have to get this done ok?" She said. I nodded. We picked up the jugs one by one and put them in the wagon. It had an m in a circle painted on the side. When we were done I hoped in the back of the wagon as she took the seat in the front and controlled the horses. I watched as every house lost its power and planes destructed the land.
