You may find time as just a simple tool of measurement. Something to manipulate and count as you go on with your mortal lives.
But, I know the truth.
It’s something much more.
Much, much more.
Time is a clever being, and constantly enjoys teasing the mortals in his universe. Time has takes no orders from anyone or anything; you cannot make time bend to your will, for it will only snap right back with full force.
But, like all other things, time has its limits and its unknown master.
And Time’s master is dangerous and manipulative.
Traits I would realize on my path to the unforgiving future.

“It’s a girl!”
A newborn’s cry accompanied the doctor’s words as they rang through the dimly lit stone walls, causing the servants outside to smile and rush off, ready to alert the people about their new princess. The word spread like wildfire through the castle and eventually to the people of Heron.
Yet the king and queen were still blissfully unaware of the news stirring outside. The doctor packed up his supplies and the child was wrapped in rich thick silk, and the royal jeweler making the daughter a beautiful locket with a small portrait of the royal family, and enchanted with magic.
A woman sat in her home, weaving straw into gold. She heard the news: a young princess was born, and the woman rushed off to spread the news to other, more mysterious, places. This was useful news. It was news that had the ability to ruin some lives with a flick of the finger.
The joys of the new princess lightening the thoughts of the kingdom. For the past four years the Time of the Witches has been raging.
The Time of the Witches is when the witch Gwendolyn appeared exactly four years before the princess’s birth. Before I continue, people normally say I should tell you this so, I’ll tell you. I’m the princess. My name is Diana, and this, is my story.

She had short red straight hair and pale white skin and piercing reddish brown eyes. She walked into the castle head down, with a hooded black cape with the hood over her head.
“Hello, Mark. I’m coming for what’s rightfully mine." She looked up and walked straight up to King Mark's eyes.
"And for what you took away."
"You deserve nothing from me!" My father replied. "Guards! Take her out of the castle."
The knights ran toward her. Gwendolyn shot her hand out with a black diamond stick stopping the soldiers. They floated upward and vanished in a flash. The servants disappeared through many doors.
"What is this? Witchery?" Mark shouted angrily.
"Precisely. And you will give what I want and you and your family will not get hurt."
"I don't owe you anything! Be gone peasant!"
"You 'be gone'!" Gwendolyn replied.
She rose up her wand to exterminate him. Then, an arrow shot out and hit the wand out of her hand.
"Nobody will hurt my father." A three-year girl said. That three-year old was Samantha, my sister.
"I'll be back. And I'll take what you took away!" Gwendolyn promised. "I'll take your greatest treasure!
