Avalon's pov

Trudging into the house, I slung my coat on the rack and locked the door behind me.

"Avalon's home!" I screamed, as I walked through the kitchen.

"Nobody cares." I heard someone scream back, and I rolled my eyes.

Grabbing the note from the kitchen door, I read it and threw it away.

Dad's on a business trip and Chelsea's mom is going with him. Great. I'm stuck with the bitch upstairs.

"Nobody asked you, Chelsea." I yelled back, and looked into the kitchen fridge.

Hmm.. What should be my dish today?

Just then, my phone began ringing.

"Avalon's the bitch." I said my usual greeting.

"Dylan's the whore." I heard my best friend and partner in crime say, and I smiled.

"Hey Dylan, how's life without me?" I said, shrugging my shoulders.

"It's not the same without you, care bear. I miss you."

"I miss you too babe." I said back to him.

Dylan is my best friend, as I said before. He was the very first friend I made at Declan High. See, it all started when we both got arrested for something totally stupid.

"What the fuck? Why are you arresting me? I did nothing." I protested as the police officers pressed me up against the car.

"Hold your hands up in the air. Put them behind your head." They said, aiming their guns at me.

Oh, do you not know of me?

"Why should I, Mr.Officer Sir." I said mockingly. He grabbed my arms and shoved them behind my head, harshly. I quickly turned and grabbed his arm, twisting it around his back, and holding his shoulder down. The gun dropped down to the ground, and I smirked.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. You should've known better than that Mr.Officer." I said laughing, shaking my head.

"L-let me go." He stuttered.

"Why should I?" I said, and at that moment I was shoved into the officer. Looking up, I saw a maximum of officers surrounding me. I laughed at them all as they looked at me fearlessly.

Just then a dark haired boy ran to where I was.

"Who are you?" I asked, as I stood my ground.

"Dylan Pates, you?"

"Avalon Green."

"I think we'll become the best of friends." He smirked, as he grabbed my hand.

"Run." I said to him, and we were off.

That day was one of the most exhilarating days of my life. I was interrupted by yelling in the background.

"Yo ma, what the actual fuck! Hey babe, I'll talk to you later. Ma's mad as hell." He said, and the line went dead. I chuckled to myself. Grabbing a bag of carrots, I popped one into my mouth and moaned.

I got the sweet ones. Yes!

Just then, I heard the door creak open and and hushed footsteps. I heard small whispers and I instantly sprinted up the stairs and into Chelsea's room.

"What the hell are you-" I clasped my hand over her mouth and she struggled to get it off.

"Just shut the hell up for a minute. Now when I remove my hand, I want you to stay quiet." I said, and she nodded. Removing my hand, she stayed quiet as I asked.
