It can't see me if I don't move it can't see me if I don't move it can't see me if-

I could feel my lungs lock as I couldn't breathe; I stared at the Rex's beady eyes with mine full of tears as I didn't dare blink. I was holding back my vicious urge to run. I was in a corridor; to my right, a closed door, to my left, where Owen had gone, behind me, wood, in front of me, an extinct predator.

Then I saw Owen walking back down the dark corridor backwards, probably to make sure something didn't pounce on him, I wanted to squeak- make a sound for him to stop- anything- but I could smell the breath of that dinosaur and its stare on my face of whether I was worth smashing through the wood of the wall, "Claire I think something's-" The Tyrannosaurus Rex let out a loud, snappy grunt at Owen and he turned immediately and couldn't help hissing, "shit-".

That was it. It knew. I knew it knew. Owen knew I knew it knew.

I didn't dare look at anything but Owen, who now watched the dinosaur through the pathetic rotting wood. His eyes moved then locked with mine and shouted, "Run!"

I did, and all in a second the Tyrannosaurus smashed its monstrous head through the window, smacking me against the opposite wall causing a crack in the wood and a strangled yelp from me. Before I knew it, I had flown through the weak wood and hit something hard with a thump.

Everything flashed white as a ringing lingered in my ears. I could see a large shadow floating around, merging with the air...

Then, like a record player, I tuned back in just in time to see the Rex remove his head from the hole he'd made with me in the wall.

I stumbled up, realising I was just in another room, and watched him lumber sideways from the window along the corridor to the left.

Owen.

I dashed forward to the hole that had been easily made and looked either way and saw nothing. But I could hear the dinosaur now- no longer making any effort to be quiet.

I jumped through the jagged hole and ran left, assuming Owen had distracted it from pushing forward through the wood to... Eat me. Jesus, I nearly got eaten. By a dinosaur. Again. Sigh.

I had no clue where he'd gone- but he wouldn't have gone to somewhere vulnerable. So I ran further inside the building and ended up following opened doors.

Finally, I found him at the front doors and placed myself next to him and hisses quietly, "This is your fault."

He looked round straight away and kissed me once on the forehead, "Knew you'd follow the doors- glad you're okay," then turned and looked through the middle gap in the two doors. "It stopped for some reason."

I peered through the hole as well, and saw the T-Rex just kind of standing there, it's massive head ducked down a little like it couldn't hold the weight. "Why?"

He whispered back, "I think it's listening- not to us," but then it turned its rough, gnarled head towards us, "Okay scratch that last part."

It disappeared from the limited view of the dirty gap, "Owen-"

He grabbed my hand and ran backwards with me in tow, admittedly with me stumbling a bit, just in time for the doors to practically explode with the impact of the nine ton beast as it burst through the old, weak front of the innovation centre.

It got up surprisingly fast and lunged forward at us, opening its large jaws, approaching alarmingly fast.

I had to think quickly, Owen was attached to my hand, we weren't going to make it to the nearest corridor, the stairs weren't an option...

I suddenly veered to the right, yanking Owen sideways, and threw him into the wooden doors of a cupboard. To my relief, he crashed through it and I jumped forward following; scrambling further in with him just as a large brown snout crashed inside with us. Owen found the end of the cupboard and grabbed my arms, dragging me to the end just as I heard the dinosaurs jaws snap closed.

I didn't realise I had closed my eyes until I had to open them to see what had happened.

It's jaws were about half a metre away from us and let out an aggravated, deep growl then started snapping them to try to reach us.

I screamed and pressed myself against the back of the wall, and Owen did the same, gritting his teeth.

It opened its jaws and roared as spit flew into our faces and the stench made me want to gag. Then the roar sounded to loud to be realistic, and the T-Rex smacked its head against the top of the cupboard and flew out backwards.

What followed was strangled roars, growls and the sound of heavy bodies crashing against the centers floors and walls.

Owen and I clung to each other in horror as all we could see were dark monstrous clawed feet swiping past the destroyed entrance to the cupboard.

Then, out of the blue, Oscar slipped into the cupboard with us and scrambled right over to us and pressed himself against the back, "Shit-"

I stared at him in shock, and we all jolted at another slam. Owen shouted over the sound of dinosaurs, "Where's Ivy?"

Oscar just pointed outside at the entrance, just as there was a strangled roar and a massive crash. He has got to be joking, was she hiding some place else on her own?

It went quiet then, and our raspy breathes was all that was left. We shuffled slowly back to the entrance, and to my surprise Owen and Oscar crawled out, I followed of course, and stood up looking over at what they were both staring at.

Another tyrannosaurus, about the same size but of a lighter shade, had one of its muscular legs pinning down the male, who was dead with scrapes and scratches all over him, more than the other.

"Uh-" I didn't know about the two men but I kinda wanted to go and, you know, not die.

Oscar let out a sigh and leaned against the wall, "Jesus that was-"

Owen wiped his face, "Yeah," Then he saw my look of confusion and added, "Claire look at her eyes, that's Ivy."

I spun round and looked at the other T-Rex still with its foot on the male. That was Ivy, and she looked at me with amusement.

If I wasn't seeing this with my own eyes I would not believe it. I turned back to Owen and Oscar who looked as exhausted as I was, and exhaled heavily, "Tell me, is there any other way this could be any more surreal than it already is?"

Just at that moment, to my complete and utter shock, another, much bigger Rex crashed through the entrance, and lunged its large, gargantuan head forward in a grand and mighty roar.

Stumbling backwards against the wall between Owen and Oscar, I realised this was Rexy.
