Everyday Outfit: 

Personality: He's rather shy, but when you get to know him he's very caring and in stressful situations, he tends to turn into a completely different person with much more confidence. Since getting into UA this has been his dominant personality and his calm and collected shy side tends to come out only when he is alone at home so he is basically always confident. 

Likes: He likes having friends, and cooking for other people, but other than that he hasn't explored many things due to being a shut-in when he was younger

Dislikes: He absolutely hates drunks(Alcoholics), drug addicts and abusive people. He hates the thought of drugs for recreational use and the thought of drinking alcohol disgusts, he also hates how easily he can be swayed into certain things.

Backstory: Daniel used to live in England when he was younger so he had only ever heard of the mighty heroes of Japan but never actually cared because he thought the ones in England were far superior. At the time of him being six, his parents got a divorce. His dad of English origins got custody of Daniel for some reason and his father of American origins kept his brother. After the divorce, Theo and Daniel moved to Japan and quickly was able to call it home. At the age of eight, Daniel noticed that his dad had gotten into the habit of drinking and as a job he sold illegal drugs. As time passed Theo's abusive tendencies got worse which ended in constant abuse towards Daniel. Daniel, in turn, locked himself in his room and only came out for food which was always a bad idea. At the age of ten, his father Colton was killed while someone was robbing a bank and Colton had tried to protect everyone. Both Daniel and Theo were heartbroken(Theo still loved Colton very much but Colton divorced Theo). The two attended the funeral and after that Theo had forced Daniel to get piercings doing each piercing himself. About a year after that Theo got extremely drunk one day and attempted to rape his son while physically and mentally abusing him. Daniel fought back and accidentally killed his own father in defense, but that wasn't the end of the abuse; Daniel didn't move from his room and ended up starving himself. Then for about a week one of his dad's customers came to collect his stuff and upon seeing the dead body of his supplier he began to whip Daniel as punishment. He got whipped five times on the back for a week straight until he had had enough with that as well and killed the customer, also out of self-defense. After a few days, his brother Liam came to visit and wasn't exactly surprised with what had happened since he was born with a psychotic mindset. He wasn't evil or anything just devoid of any and all emotions, in actuality Liam was a very successful doctor. So for about a year, Liam helped Daniel get back on his feet and showed him how to apply for a job then went back to England leaving Daniel on his own. So since then to now, he had been living on his own working and going to school having a perfect balance with everything and taking his weekends of rest very seriously. While growing up he had also met Midoriya and the two quickly became friends. 

Other: Daniel feels that if people knew about his past they would turn on him and call him a villain and he fears that most about people so he keeps it to himself and always make up a story about how one of his fathers died. He also tries not to use his quirk too much seeing as he thinks that he can become a hero without completely relying on his quirk

Advantages: His Quirk is more effective during the day and in direct sunlight can even enhance it if he chooses to use that extra power

Disadvantages: He can't do sh*t in the dark, I mean he can he's just horrible at using his quirk in the dark. Also if uses too much power his muscles tense up and he gets horrible headaches. His eyes also can start hurting and he'd have to sit in the darkness for a while. Sometimes overpowering his moves can result in a seizure 

Costume:

His boots allow him to cross his moving distortions easily so they walk across whatever terrain he creates. The gloves help soothe tense muscles making the pain a bit duller than it would usually be as for his hood, it may not seem like it but it helps with the migraines he gets when overusing his quirk. His belt can hold weapons on the side and back so if he ever does use his quirk too much he has actual weapons to defend himself. The cloth on his outfit is meant for refracting light in the dark easier without it being extremely bright and flashy, lastly is the cloak-like cape thing, it actually helps him keep his balance when jumping around the air. 

Hero Name: Light Scope

Special Move: Clear Scope (A clear sharp object that can be distorted into any shape Daniel chooses)

Why They Became a Hero: He became a hero to stop abusive people and try to stop alcoholics and drug addicts. He wants to be able to help those people overcome their problem if he can't do that he tries to shy away from big battles because he doesn't want to risk being called out on his past

Quirk: Light refraction/Kaleidoscope

Quirk Explanation: It's kind of like what doctor strange can do with what he has learned. Basically, Daniel can mold light in such a way that it becomes a solid and if the light is concentrated enough it could create a clear weapon that can puncture through someone. He can easily maneuver through the air with his. The Kaleidoscope part of his quirk can distort reality and change how it looks making the area he chooses completely crazy much like a kaleidoscope though he rarely uses it
