Chapter 28: ~Hunter~

I was talking her to her favorite restaurant that she loves so much, but says she can't go to because it's too expensive. I was willing to take her anywhere no matter what the cost. We pulled up and her face lit up like the Fourth of July. "Why did you bring me here," she asks still smiling. "Well you deserve the best." She rolls her eyes. "I do not." "But you do," I say grabbing her hands we get out of the car and walk in.

Well we order, eat, then leave. "So are we going home," she asks as I start the car. "Not quite. We've got one more stop." It takes about a half hour, but I get to the corner before the destination and stop the car. "What are we doing?" I take her heels off and put them in the back. "You're not gonna need those," I say. She smiles. "And why not?" "Certain reasons." I do my signature half smirk that supposedly makes every girl fall in love when really, only her love matters. Two more minutes and we're there. I pull up to a tree out in a wide open field. There's a blanket laid out and a basket on it. There's also an acoustic guitar set up against the tree.

~Rebecca~

"Did you do this," I ask Hunter and he just smiles. I kiss him then say "You didn't have to." He kisses me. "Yes I did. I'd do anything for you." I smile and he grabs my hand. "Now I know we just ate, but I wanted something casual too," he says. When he opens the basket, I laugh. He brought McDonald's. I pull out a burger. "Very casual," I say. "You like?" "No. Love." He leans over and kisses me.

We eat and then lay on the blanket, looking up at the sky. I start humming and he looks down at me. "Watcha humming?" I look up. "Oh nothing." "Yes something. Sing it for me. I rarely get to here you sing anymore." It took a bit of negotiating, but eventually I was singing. "Make lots of noise. Kiss lots of boys or kiss lots of girls if that something you're into," I sang. "Wow. That was amazing. I've never heard that song before," he says. "Yeah because it's mine. I wrote it." His beautiful blue eyes grow big. "You wrote that? Becca that's amazing!!" "No." He wraps his arms around me and whispers "Don't argue with me, little girl." He kisses me. "Just did." I smile and kiss him. Then he goes on about how I shouldn't be so hard on myself and that I'm perfect the way I am. I argue back, but it's no use. "I love you Hunter. So much," I say. "I love you too, Rebecca." I kiss him one last time and we fall asleep on the picnic blanket with my head on his shoulder and his arms around me.
