What Will Happen With My Life?

Chapter 2

When I open my eyes but not much I see that I am lying in a bed a hospital bed james is outside talking to the doctor and my mom and dad are in my room my mom is sitting in a chair beside my bed and my dad is pacing. I try to say something but it comes out like a mumble my mom turns to look at me and my dad stops pacing and tells James to come in quick my mom says "it's ok your alright" James comes runbing in and he smiles and says "Audrey im so glad your awake I was worried sick about you" I try to sit up but a sharp pain rushes through me and I yelp. My mom and dad went to go get a doctor James sits in the chair beside me bed it looks like he barely got any sleep he grasps my hand and kisses me on the lips as he does that I start to relax and he pulls away slowly and gently. My parents come in with a doctor she's blonde but almost golden coloured and wearing a blue shirt and blue pants holding a clip board "hello Audrey" she says and goes right into explaining about my shoulder " it is in fact u got shot in the shoulder we took u into surgery right away last night to remove the bullet although it was a strange looking bullet a bullet we have never seen before we had it tooken to the lab to be analyzed" as shes talking im starting to wonder if it had something to do with people wanting to test my powers? This has happened to me before that's why we left and came here to Chicago scientists were trying to catch me and test my powers. I wasnt really listening to the doctor she eventually left and my parents asked what happened James turned to look at me then said " we left the party to go for a walk in the woods we stopped at the ledge and sat down we were just talking then the next thing I knew Audrey was screaming in pain I lifted her shirt to see what happened she got shot and was bleeding alot so I picked her up and walked as fast as I could to the party wen I got there I called the ambulance." While James was explaining everything I just lye there not even noticing today was the day I was supposed to graduate from university. My parents leave the room and James stays he looks at me " today is graduation the day we graduate and go onto having our own lives" "ya" I say " are you gonna go and graduate or are u gonna stay here and miss it?" " I'm not leaving your side I love you so be it if I miss grad you are way more important " hes wearing the same clothes as yesterday he can be stubborn when it comes to people he loves unfortunately his parents died in a car accident a few years ago it was dark and a deer ran onto the road they swirved trying to avoid it then ended up driving off of the road into a ditch my parents have been very kind and generous to him but he lives with his grandparents when he isn't in university. I wish I would've been able to go to graduation I've been lookjng forward to it all year. I still can't get over the bullet I was shot with the doctor said it was a bullet theyve never seen before im starting to question if it had something to do with mt power.  James left a couple of minutes ago to go get a coffee im left alone in my room the doctor said I am able to go home today wich im happy about. James comes back in with a grin on his face it has me suspicious.
