Chapter 1: Hesitation

Kyoko and Makoto along with everyone in their class, class 78, had been investigating a murder case that have occurred at Hope's Peak Academy. As usual Makoto and Kyoko investigate together as they always have...just like they did when they were in the mutual killing game...both have gained trust in each other to call each other friends but both of them inside have felt different about each other, but were to hesitant to confess to one another to express each other's feelings, "Naegi-Kun, are you sure you're okay? You have not looked well these past few days..." Kyoko asked with concern, and it is true Makoto has not been well these past few days suffering from lacking sleep with minor headaches, "I'm fine Kirigiri-San, don't worry about me." Makoto says trying to hide his state of health. "Okay then, I'm here if you need anything." Kyoko says slightly smiling, "Thank you Kirigiri-San." Makoto says smiling back. Then, while walking around the school investigating, suddenly, slightly ahead of Kyoko, Makoto finally gives in and suddenly collapses. "Naegi!" In shock Kyoko runs to Makoto and with a stuggle picks him up and quickly rushes him to his room. Kyoko lays Makoto in his bed and quickly calls Aoi Asahina, The Ultimate Swimmer, to come to Makoto's room. Aoi quickly arrives, "Kyoko-Chan what happened?!" Aoi asks anxiously while both Kyoko and Aoi look at Makoto lying down in his bed, "I don't know Asahina-San, Makoto suddenly collapsed while we were investigating the case, he claimed to be ok but he's obviously denying that he's not." Kyoko tells Asahina what happened. "Yeah, I have been noticing Naegi looking rather sick the past few days..." Aoi states. "I'm really worried for him..." Kyoko says without realizing she said that out loud. "Aw, does someone have a crush?" Aoi says. "What?! This is not the right time for this..." Kyoko says quickly to get Aoi's mind off the subject. "Don't deny it, I bet he likes you back!" Aoi states with excitement. Kyoko face suddenly turns red where Aoi catches her blushing really hard. "AWW, so it's true!" Aoi says jumping up and down a bit. "This isn't the time for this, we must care for Makoto until he gets better." Kyoko says, while trying to cover her blushing face from Aoi. "Okayyyy then Kyoko-Chan! You take good care of him now! See ya! " Aoi says giggling and leaves Makoto's room. Kyoko was now alone with Makoto, who was in his bed resting, Kyoko couldn't get what Aoi said out of her head, did she really have feelings for Makoto? She always liked Naegi and trusted him, but did she really have a crush on him? Does Makoto like her back that way? Kyoko for the rest of the night couldn't get these thought out of her head. That night Kyoko went to sleep thinking of Makoto...
