__________________________"Oh my god, oh my god! Someone call the police! Someone, anyone!" I heard a voice scream, and cold hands rushing around my body. I tried to move my head towards the voice and open my eyes. I shut them immediately when I was blinded with a bright light.
"Oh no, no hunny, no. Keep your eyes closed, it's okay. Just relax and keep them closed. God damnit! Can someone fucking help me please!? This girl is bleeding!" The voice screamed again, becoming clearer, it was the nurse I had early. Suddenly panic set, and my heart started to beat out of my chest. I moved around, or at least tried, trying to figure out what the hell was happening, I screamed out, pain overtaking my senses. I felt tears streaming down my face, it felt like my entire body was on fire. The nurses hands, still all over me, yet I couldn't tell if she was looking for injuries or trying clean me up.
"Hadaleigh!! Oh my god! Haddie! What the hell happened!?" Mel screamed, suddenly I smelt her perfume and her hands were on my face, trying to comprehend the scene happening before her. As she fell to the floor beside me, she brushed my hair back, and wiped my tears. Calmly, she whispered in my ear saying it was gonna be okay, she was sorry. I just whimpered, and laid on the cold floor. Slowly I opened my eyes, adjusting to the light, I saw I was still on the bathroom floor, with my romper ripped up the side, and blood surrounding me. It came flooding back to me, the club, my broken wrist, the hospital, and the guy. God that guy, how could he do this to me? My vision became blurry with tears, and I clung to Melissa with all the strength I had. She changed her position and put my head in her lap, still brushing my hair and rubbing my neck. I heard footsteps come rushing our way, and suddenly the doorway was filled with two doctors and a cop.
"Oh god, oh my god, ma'am. Do you know what happened ma'am?" I looked at the cop, he had this expression of just, pain. He looked like he was going to cry from just looking at me. I shook my head, and he looked at the doctors and one of them yelled behind them towards what I'm assuming was nurses.
"Can we get a stretcher in here!?" The nurse I had before hadn't left my side, she had been dabbing at my head and face with a cloth. Everyone got out the way, except Melissa, she stayed down on the ground with me as they placed a plastic board next to me, one nurse grabbed my head and neck, and the other grabbed my legs."1,2,3, go" they said at the same time and move me onto the red board. They picked me up and put me on the stretcher. I reached for Mel, quickly locking hands, I was raced towards the elevators as Mel ran besides me, and brought into a trauma bay.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry you need to stay out here." I heard a deep voice say, and Mel's protests being shot down. A curtain closed, my head started to spin with the action that went on around me. I had nurses putting IV's in me, giving me shots, and doctors yelling out orders has they all rushed by in a blur of colors. I was hooked up to a heart monitor, and the last thing I remember is hearing someone yell "She's drifting!" and noise erupting even louder if it was possible.
I woke up in a hospital gown, in a dimly lit room. The curtain's were drawn and there was a fan blowing next to me. I looked to my right and saw Mel in the bed next to mine. She looked like she had walked through hell and back. I took in the sight of my body, well at least what I could see. My arm was in a cast, and my leg was elevated with pillows. I turned my attention back towards Melissa and tried to speak, the only thing that came was a grunt. My throat was on fire, I coughed, looking around I saw a cup of water next to pitcher. Slowly I grabbed it, and drank it down. I coughed, and tried to speak again.
"Mel" nothing, "Mel, Melissa?!" nothing again, getting fed up, I grabbed the box of tissues that were placed next to the pitcher and chucked it at her. She jumped awake, and we made eye contact; before I could get a word out, she broke down crying.
