I pulled on my clothes when I got out of the shower the next day, ready to go back to work to see Harry. I put on this. http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=88868904 It was one of my favorite outfits I had, and I was super excited to see Harry today, so I decided to wear something extra special. I said goodbye to Madyson, who was just waking up as I left. I hopped in the car, ready to see Harry.

When the door on the shop jingled, it was 1:04. Harry walked in, looking gorgeous as always. http://www.usmagazine.com/uploads/assets/articles/59073-harry-styles-resurfaces-in-london-after-taylor-swift-breakup/1357683397_harry-styles-lg.jpg Harry greeted me with a small nod of his head, and I smiled and nodded back. My stomach was doing somersaults as he walked to a row of bins and started to again look through the discs. I still never understood how he didn’t get bored doing that everyday. I watched Harry subtly for a bit, but then I decided to go on tumblr on the computer while I was waiting. As I sat there reblogging photos of gorgeous girls I wished I looked like, my phone rang playing the song ‘I Caught Fire (In Your Eyes)’ by The Used. I picked up and it was Madyson, asking if she could use the car for work tomorrow because she was going to bring a co-worker home since their car was being fixed. I agreed, since she only needed it for when she went to work, which was later than I go to work, I could still drive to work and then she could walk to pick up the car, and I could walk home. Sounds confusing, but nevertheless, I agreed for the sake of her co-worker. When I got off the phone, I went back to sitting on tumblr, while I waited patiently to see if Harry was going to buy anything. In a while, Harry walked up to the counter.
“Hi, Harry.” I said, being bold, my heart beating faster than ever.
“Hello, Jane.” He said, his thick pink lips curling into a grin. He set an album on the counter, and I picked it up. It was ‘In Love And Death’ by The Used. That’s the album ‘I Caught Fire (In Your Eyes)’ is on, which is what my ringtone was when Madyson called after Harry came in. I blushed, wondering if it was a pure coincidence. I looked up at him as the computer totalled his purchase, and we made eye contact for a few moments, both of us trying to hold back our smiles. I went through the process, ripping the receipt off the machine, signing my name, bagging his CD, and then asking if he wanted the receipt. He said no once again, and it made me wonder why he asked for the receipt that one day.
“Thank you.” He said, smiling as I handed him the bag and his change. I nodded in response.
“Have a nice day.” I said, as we smiled at each other. He nodded then spoke.
“See you tomorrow, Jane.” He said, smiling, then walking out. Just like every other day, I was left in shock. Neither of us had ever acknowledged the fact that he came in everyday. He obviously knew that I noticed, but we had never said anything about it. I stood there for a minute, smiling to myself like an idiot. I leaned over to the computer and made the music playing through the speakers even louder, sitting down on the stool and enjoying the peace I felt.

That night back at the apartment, Madyson came home from work early, with chinese take-out.
“Ooooh!” I said, smiling as the delicious scent of food filled the small apartment. “Any special occasion?” I asked, since we usually didn’t get food from restaurants.
“Not really, just decided we needed to catch up a bit.” Madyson said, smiling and setting the food on the table. “With work and everything, we haven’t really had time to talk much. I miss my best friend!” She said, sticking her lower lip out into a pout.
“Aww, Mad!” I said, smiling and getting up to hug her. We hugged for a minute, and I realized she was right. When we were in middle school, we’d call each other every night and talk for hours and hours on the phone. When we were in high school, we’d text all night, talking about random stuff, catching up, and just being our funny selves. So when we both moved into this apartment together, we figured we’d talk even more. But actually, it was just the opposite. We both had to work all the time, and if we weren’t working we were either tired or sleeping. I was really glad Madyson had decided to get off early and have dinner to catch up. We sat down at the table together and opened up the food.
“So what’s new?” She asked, grabbing me a Cherry Coke from the fridge, and herself a Mountain Dew. I took a drink of the Coke gratefully and took a deep breath.
“Well.” I said, a smile forming on my face. “There’s kind of this guy.” We both giggled.
“Of course there is.” She said, laughing.
“Hey!” I scolded, laughing myself. She knew I was a bit boy crazy.
“Okay, okay. Sorry.” She said, trying to contain her giggles.
“Okay. Well, his name is Harry.” I said, looking at Madyson.
“And..?” She said, waiting for further explanation.
“Well..that’s kinda it.” I said, laughing, but actually kind of disappointed that was all I could really say about him. Madyson raised an eyebrow, confused.
“How’d you meet?” She asked, taking a sip of her Mountain Dew.
“Work. He comes into the shop literally everyday.” I explained.
“Woah.” She said, now raising both of her eyebrows.
“Yeah, I know.” I said, raising mine too. “I don’t really know much about him, actually. But I’m hoping to find more out.”
“Hmm. I see. Well good luck.” She said.
“Thanks, Mad. So anything new with you?” I asked, and she quickly dove into a long story about the latest drama at Cheers. I was grateful we had time to finally talk again, and it almost felt like high school or middle school again.
