Chapter 9. An Escape to A New Friend

While Krul or any other vampire were not looking, Alsia escaped. She ran as fast as she could away from that city. She did escape and found her self next to a mansion gate. She looked at the mansion as she walked. Just then she accidentally ran into another vampire, but different. He had purple hair, a childish look to him, and he was holding a teddy bear with an eye patch. "B-Be careful! Teddy almost got hurt because of you!...DO YOU WANT TO DIE THAT BADLY?!..Then never touch Teddy again or be killed." The boy growled at her, holding his teddy close to him. "S-Sorry! Wait, did you just say you were going to kill me?" She questioned the boy. Her face suddenly became serious and she laughed a little. "I dare you to try. But that would be rude since I don't know you. My name is Alsia. And you're?" She smirked as she asked him. He look at the girl with eyes of pure curiosity. "Hmph, Sakamaki, Kanato.. and this is Teddy." He looked at his teddy bear and used it's hand to wave at Alsia. 'RIP'..Tears started forming in his eyes as Teddy's hand came off. "T-Teddy?" He stared at the torn piece of fabric and fluff in disbelief. "I-I." Tears landed on Teddy as a few ashes from inside of the bear sprinkled on the ground. Alsia's eyes widened as she saw his care for the stuffed animal. "Maybe I could help with that. Just get me a needle and thread." She offered. It was the least she could do. "U-Um..." Kanato looked down and wiped away some of his tears, his bangs covering his desire for fixing his teddy bear. "Th-There's probably supplies i-in the mansion.." He looked at Alsia with sad eyes. "Hmm... you smell good, Miss Alsia. Say, Teddy, doesn't she smell sweet, too?" He smiled with tears in his eyes and hugged Teddy closer. "Hmm... okay, follow me..." 'Smell?' She wondered. "Alright." Alsia followed him into the mansion looking around. "So, why'd you say I smelled good? I mean, the vampires that I knew would say that before drinking one of the kid's blood but I thought they were the only vampires that lived here." Kanato looked at her with wide eyes. "Are you really that callous?!?"" He began to laugh at her idioticy, "Mm, the smell of it is said to drive pure-blood vampires mad at a certain blood-type." He took a needle out of a vanity near by. "Say," he placed Teddy on the vanity while teleporting to Alsia's neck. "can I prick your flesh and be the first to smell your taunting scent?" He smiled as he stabbed the needle onto her neck, happily seeing the liquid run down her collarbone as he did so. "Ow! Wh-What do you think y-you're doing?!?!" She asked as she threw the needle to the ground and looked at him in shock and pain. "Hmm, that was awfully quick..." Kanato picked up the needle and smiled, "do you mind sewing Teddy together now?" Alsia grabbed the needle and sewed Teddy's arm back together and gave it back to him. "Here. But keep this in mind. Don't ever try to harm me again, or you'll regret it." Alsia told him as she headed for the door.
