Skylar's P.O.V
When I woke up, I smelled blood. More exactly, human blood. My predator instict kicked in and I jumped on the bleeding person, which seemed to be a man. When I was about to bite him, I snapped out of it. I looked around me and saw that I wasn't home. I was in a...cell? "Morning, sleeping beauty." A familiar voice said. When I turned my head, I saw him. The man that I hate. "What am I doing here? And what did you do to this poor man?" I said looking at the man with simpathy. "What are you talking about? I just brought you some food." When he said the word food, I cringed. My vampire part was begging of me to suck the guy dry, but the human part told me to calm down and leave him alone. I knew is I drank his blood, my human part will die and I will be a complete vampire and I will finally find my mate. Yes, you heard me right. Mate. You see, mates are called soul mates in the human world. They are basically your other half. If your mate dies, there is a high chance for you to die too, because a part of your soul dies. If you are a noble, the chances are for you to die are less possible. You find your mate when you are a complete vampire. That means that I don't have a mate until I drink human blood. Great (note the sarcasm). "Hello?Sky?" Zane pulled me out of my trance. He was standing in front of my cell. "I'm here, I'm here. Can you let me out now?" I asked slightly irritated "No until you drink him dry." He said smirking. "Never." "We'll see. You will need to feed eventually and your vampire part will take over you and will suck the man here dry." He said casually "I hate you." I spat.
Zane's P.O.V
"I hate you." Those words broke my heart. My mate hates me. Skylar is my mate. Shocked I see? You may be asking 'Why am I doing this to her if she is my mate?' Well, when I turned her, she hated me. And she still does. If she becomes a full vampire, she will feel our bond and she will fall in love with me eventually. Evil, but it's for a good cause. I just turned around and left her there, looking at me with hatred.
