So by now, I hope that you have seen the rebels season 3 trailer and if not then I will try and link the video up above but I can not guarantee that I will. We see an image of Sabine holding the dark saber. Now, we know the last person to be in possession of the dark saber is Darth Maul himself and we know that he is going to be one of the main antagonist this season. So how did Sabine get it? Well, I have a couple of theories, maybe he gave it to her to taunt her about her heritage since most of the Mandalorian world see's deathwatch as terrorist and traitors. Sabine herself might have also taken it from him in a fight. I think it would be really cool if we got to see the two of them fighting but Maul eventually has to retreat and leaves the dark saber there for Sabine whether it be on accident or on purpose. It may also be possible that Darth Maul doesn't have it at all and that he somehow lost it during that time that we didn't see him for awhile in between clone wars and rebels.
