I awoke frozen and helpless as I was handcuffed to the chair I was in. I could hear laughing and the sound of slot machines, very faintly. "He's finally waking up, want me to go talk to him?" said a stern, strong voice. "That won't be necessary, we won't need you until he doesn't cooperate." It was a female voice that I couldn't place, but it sounded do familiar.

"Hello, I'm Lexi what's your name?" The voice was so smooth and soothing. I tried to speak but I only coughed up blood. Lexi. I recall the name ,but I can't place it. Ouch! I suddenly remember being stabbed through my back and through my stomach, and immediate pain. "Oh yes, you're injured my bad. That was my fault, you were walking around like one of those... things." She was beautiful, even with the old clothes that had been worn down because of the apocalypse.

"I'll be fine. Where am I?" I manage to mutter after a few attempts of coughing up dry blood.

"You're at the casino-whacha-ma-call-it." I almost heard her, but her beauty was distracting. "What am I heard for, and why am I handcuffed to this chair?" I say well spitting up fresh blood for the first time.

"You can't even manage to say hello to 'your one true love' after you ditched me? How rude." She laughed.
