Chapter 1 : The past returns

Have you ever thought about anything you know being a lie? The world we live in and the people around us. But before I get deeper into that topic I want you to show you how everything started . How I met my future.................

Jade's POV

"Jade Danvers will you give me the honour and marry me?" Is he fucking serious? I know my dad wanted me to marry that jerk but I can't bring myself to do it. But have to admit his acting skills are on point. The painful truth is that me and James always hated each other. My father thought that only because he was my childhood friend when we were four doesn't mean a marriage now. But here I am standing in a lavender dress in front of hundreds of eyes. Am I making the one of the most decisions in my life? Yeah undoubtingly . Whilst everyone waited for my hesitated answer. I asked myself a simple question. Will I be happy? Or more like is there any chance for me to be happy? 

I thought about it for what seemed like ages to me and came up with the conclusion. Not to do anything but run. Luckily the engagement party was held outside so I had quickly analysed places to go.  First the house nearby although everyone will find me there so probably not the best idea.  Second the field behind my house although would make me visible and easily spotted.  So only choice was the 'Death Forest' as people called it. Even though there wasn't any proof for murders or suicides,  humans believe rumour so easily but at least that would prevent them from following me. When my runaway place was decided I made eye contact with Vanessa and Rae which seemed confused but I ignored their facial expressions and aimed at a footpath that led me to the woods. 

I took a deep breath and smirked at James before heading of to the footpath.  Footsteps followed behind but the thought James or a member of his family following me behind just to scold me didn't make me stop.  When I was in a condition of breathing heavily and sweating I stopped and looked behind at two figures that trailed slightly behind me. As i stayed in one place,  it made me realise how tranquil and silent the woods felt. No different colours but shades of green and petite rays of sunlight that lightened up the woods.

Once the figures catched up with me,  I sighed and smiled in relief to see Ness and Rae walking towards me. 
Rae came up to me and instantly I felt pain on my left cheek.

"Why did you do it?!" She asked and my eyes instantly made contact with hers. I didn't want to make her dissapointed but I couldn't do it either so I simply had nothing to say. I still couldn't believe she hit me. "You promised!" she yelled, her voice echoing through the surroundings. Instantly she grabbed my hand and started to drag me back.  " You're coming back and apologizing! " Does she really think I'm going to do that?  I yanked my hand away just to face her furious eyes. " I'm not going anywhere " I muttered just for her to hear.  Her eyes widened and now burned with anger towards me.  " This is for dad. He wanted you to do this, so instead you're going to ignore him?! " she always found a way to make me guilty. "Rae . In her situation you would do the same , leave her" Vanessa tried pulling Rae away but she just slapped her hand. "Stay out of it!" she yelled once more.  " I can't.  I just can't. Looking at my best friend, who's life you're going to ruin by making her marry the worst dipshit I know?! " she yelled which was unusual for her behaviour.  " You don't know shit! You're just some spoiled princess who's parents have no time for!  Well guess what!  At least you have parents so stop acting childish and don't get involved!! " My eyes widened at that.  How could she say that to her? Just as I saw Ness giving up on Rae and walking away I tried to stop her.

"Wait! " I managed to get my head up and yell but she just showed me her middle finger before walking away further on. I sighed and faced Rae which was extremely angered but to my surprise stayed silent before walking away as well. Great just leave me here then. I thought about going after her but she was the type of person who loved to be on her own so I just left her to it before walking to a completely different direction. 

All I could hear was bird's tweeting and the droping of water in the pond nearby. It looked so peaceful that I had to go near it. As I approached it I felt as if I was being watched. But I shrugged it off and continued walking past. I honestly didn't know where the rumours came from.  It's one of the amazing things I saw in my life.  It seemed endless so I just explored further on but the thought of being watched came back. 

It made me turn around and look closely at the mistake I've made.  My eyes made contact with it. I made contact with the silver eyes....
