"How do I look?" I ask Jude; crossing my mental fingers, it's the third outfit I try on this morning, and by this point I know it's really useless to ask Jude's opinion; she said the same thing to both first ones.

"You look great Salma; for real, stop freaking out!" The last part was new.

I talked with Adam on the phone yesterday for over two hours; about the most random subjects ever, and at the end of our phone call, he asked at what time was my first class tomorrow, when I said it was at ten; he invited me to go for breakfast out of campus, since his first class starts at nine; he said he would pick me up at eight. I woke up at half past seven to get ready; I didn't need a shower today.

"You're sure? It doesn't look like I'm trying too hard, right?" I ask just to be sure

"You're sure? It doesn't look like I'm trying too hard, right?" I ask just to be sure.

"No don't worry, calm down, he'll be here any minute now, it's five minutes to eight"

"Okay. I forgot to ask you about your skype conversation with Mike yesterday, is everything okay? you seemed sort of sad when you left the room to shower"

"Yes, we're good, I think... it's just not the same you know? He was a little bit distant yesterday but I'm not worried about that, it just sucks that I can't hug him or kiss him. He had to hang up after only one hour of talking because he was going out with his friends, I felt like he couldn't make time for me anymore. Sorry I'm talking so much I just needed to let it out"

"Hey! that's what friends are for, I'm always here to listen to you. always" I promise her.

"Thanks Selma, and sorry for yesterday, you prrobably had to go for dinner alone again" She went to bed right after her shower.

"Its okay, I can't even imagine what it feels like to support what you're going trough"

"You're awesome" She gets up from her bed, and hugs me.

"Oh my god, I'm going to faint" I say, when we pull apart.

"It's not like it's your first date, why are you so stressed?" She asks the question that has been on her tongue for the whole morning, can't blame her though, I woke her up at a quarter to eight even though her first class starts at nine.

To answer her question, I was honestly scared of not liking him, ever since I was twelve, that Manchester boy gave me some high standards. But Adam was nice and sweet and smart. I want to like him.

I wasn't going to say this to Jude though, she wouldn't understand; she would probably think I'm deranged.

"Wait until you see him, you will understand why I am this stressed!" As I hold my arms up defensively, we hear soft knocking on our door. "Here comes nothing" I mutter to myself as I open the door.

The first thing I notice when I'm faced with the tall body is that we are both wearing blue and white striped shirts. Hear this? We match!

 Hear this? We match!
