Chapter 6

-QUICK NOTE-

I'm gonna start writing this in 1st person rather than 3rd omniscient(I think that's what it's called anyways lol)! I will also switch POVs every chapter. I may update more frequently if so!  I'm glad to be back into this fic, and I quit(maybe) the writing comp. as I couldn't really think of anything...I'm sure I'l get something done. Also, I'm working on writing longer chapters. The thing is, I always feel like they're longer than they really are, ya know. Anyways, I hope you guys Iike this chapter!!!

 Eridan's POV

     I woke up to Sollux gently tapping my arm.

     "Can I help you?" I muttered. I turned over so I was facing away from Sol. I groaned a bit as he told me that dinner was almost ready.

     "But Soooollll, I'm tired!" I exclaimed. I had a long day and deserve some sleep! Despite your begging, he ended up physically dragging you out of the warm cocoon of blankets.

     "Damn you," I muttered. I lazily walked with him into the living room and slumped onto the couch. He brought in a bowl of soup and a can of root beer. You thank him and he leaves, coming back with his own bowl of soup. Although, he brought a can of Mountain Dew rather than root beer. He sat down next to me and began eating. I grabbed the remote and resumed our spot in Grey's Anatomy. Yeah, that show isn't really known for dudes. We don't give a shit. We started back when we were in middle school. We had only gotten to about season 3, but since the whole 'getting back together with Sol' thing has happened, we've watched much more. We just started the season 5 finale. Once it was over, it was basically a sob-fest. After a couple more episodes, Sollux turned to me.

     "Hey, its just about 10, we should get to bed. Being as that you only have a very minor concussion, you have to go to school tomorrow. And so do I," Sol stated. I slowly got up, feeling a but dizzy. Scratch that. A lot dizzy. I almost fell, so I sat back down before I could. Sollux immediately jumped up to help me. After a couple minutes I was able to walk to my room. I threw a t-shirt and sweats over at Sollux and he changed in the bathroom while I changed in my room. 

     The two of us had gotten ready and were lying down in bed. We were both too tired to get the cot out, so we decided to just share my bed. I mean, it was a queen size. No one was going to be cramped. Whilst making the decision, we both recited our, 'No homo's. As of now, we were just kinda laying there. Eventually, Sol drifted off. Soon after that, so did you.

     I woke to a slight whimpering. What was that? I turned to the clock, it read '3:41 am'. I then turned to Sol, who was shaking and crying. He looked to still be asleep. I gently raised my hand up and rested it on his shoulder.

     "Sol?" I asked. I shook him a bit and he shot upwards. I followed after. He was still crying, and he looked scared. He started stuttering something, but just burst out crying again. I pulled him into a hug and he rested his face in the crook of my neck. I tried to reassure him that he was okay, but nothing seemed to help. He must've had one of those nightmares again...but this one must've been bad. Really bad. After about 10 minutes, the crying stopped. We sat there like that  for a while.

     "Wanna talk about it?" I asked him.

     "N-not really" he replied. He looked up at my, with his sad, beautiful eyes. Damn were those eyes beautiful. He lied back down and rolled over. I did the same. Once I was sure that he was asleep, I slowly raised up and kissed his forehead.

     "Goodnight, Sol."

Ahhh that was so short kill me. I'm hoping to update a couple times this week being as that our break just ended and I don't have any big tests coming up. I really hope you guys liked the chapter(if it's even long enough to be considered one)! I already have some plans on how I'm going to start continuing this. I'm also considering bringing this over to Archive of Our Own now that I have an account, but the site is still a wee bit confusing to me. Maybe after playing around with it for a bit =) Well, that finishes it! I'm gonna go start the next chapter =D
