Nikko's P.O.V. [I know. This is new.]
I couldn't find a spot closer to the front so I sat at the back. I made myself comfortable and waited for the tournament to start.
I wish Korioji some luck. I hope he wins. But there's gotta be at least 100 people competing here today. And just watching some warm up makes me nauseous.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't Sunshine Sparkle Pants." I looked up at the girl in the white and pink bodysuit. "Hello, Jun. I wish you luck." She snorted, "I don't need luck, Sugar Plum Pie." Wow. Transitioning from Sunshine Sparkle Pants to Sugar Plum Pie.
This girl has got to stop with the nicknames.
I smiled, "I dunno. You might need it. My boyfriend's pretty good." I emphasized my boyfriend just to annoy her. "You seriously piss me off, Fairy Face." She growled menacingly.
"Thank you. I try my best." I bowed sarcastically with an evil grin. "You little devil!" She stomped away towards the arena.
I scoffed, "Says the devil." I focused my attention back onto the stage. I saw a boy waving at me from afar. "Kuma!" I returned his gesture.
I didn't know he fenced. He was my usual dance partner when I taught the kids at the dance academy. I didn't expect him to be here.
He flashed me his genuine smile and winked. I stuck out my tongue at him menacingly. He's been hitting on me for years. I know. Cause it's obvious.
"SUNSHINE!!!" I looked over at the flushed red boy; Korioji. I bowed in apology and scratched the back of my neck.
He put his mask down and walked over to the benches. Who knew under that cold exterior was a sensitive boy? Kuma strolled behind him, laughing. Are those two friends?
"Attention all competitors. Please be seated at the benches. The competition is starting." The intercom rang.
Jun did a bunch of flips to the benches. She made a face at me before sitting down. I snarled at her only making her laugh.
I turned away to Korioji who was spinning his sword around. It looked extremely dangerous. I hope he would be careful with that thing. It seemed as if it was sharp enough to poke his eye out.
I just want him to be safe.
The competition was tough for Korioji but he still managed to make it in the top five. After eliminating two other competitors, Ice Prince, Kuma and Jun were left.
My boyfriend. My friend. And the b*tch.
I hate this. I hope Jun gets out first. But apparently, she won this thing three straight years in a row.
"And Kuma wins with 103 points over Jun with 98." Jun grunted loudly which literally made me smile. But it's Korioji versus Kuma. Damn.. Why must this happen?
He stepped onto the arena infront of Kuma. Putting his mask down he smirked. "En garde!" The clanging sound of metal hitting metal rang in my ears. Every single second was filled with suspense.
I just wanted to close my eyes and not watch but I couldn't. This competition was sucking my soul out. And when I thought one of them was going to be out, the other overcomes. Or at least dodges.
They were both so close to winning until..
"And Kuma wins with 115 points over 109."
