"KENDALL WAKE UPP!!"
"IM LATE FOR SCHOOL"My little brother Henry kept yelling into my ear. I was caught up in my thoughts. It's the first day of 11th grade. I had just turned 17 last week. I wasn't in the mood to get up.
"WAKE UPP!"
"OK IM UP IM UP!" I replied knowing he can hear the annoyance in my voice.
I practically fell out of bed to see Henry, my 8 year old brother with his hands crossed.
"What is your problem?!? School starts in 10 minutes Hurry UPP!"
"WHAT?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
I'm screwed.
"Ughh I'll be waiting in the car." He grunted as he walked past me and shut my bedroom door.
I Picked up my phone to only see 4 Missed calls from my best friend Jenny. I grunted and walked over to my closet. I threw on a pair of Grey sweatpants and a hoodie over my Nirvana top as fast as I could. Jenny would definitely not approve of me wearing this on the first day. If she can just see me now, I sigh.
I walked into my bathroom and started brushing my teeth. I stared at my reflection in the mirror. My wild brown curls were tamed into a messy bun with pieces of my hair out to frame my face. My green eyes where paired with light freckles that spread around my rosy cheeks. I very much resembled my mother even though my skin was more of a pasty white while she had perfect olive skin. I gurgled out my water and zoomed out back into my room to slip on my rugged converse's.
I ran downstairs as fast I could.
I walk into the kitchen to be greeted with a note on the kitchen counter, It read:
Kendall, I need you to bring Henry to school today.
I will be working till 7 so make sure you also pick him up. Don't be late - Love you, MomI couldn't believe this, well I didn't have time to complain. I bolted as fast as I could out of the door almost falling as I walked down the steps that lead to my front door. I manage to not trip so I guess that's a good sign. I open my car door and hop in. I can see Henry in the backseat frowning at me as I turned around.
"What?!?" I whined.
"You forgot your backpack.."
I turn to look at the passenger seat...
Shoot.
I bolted back up the steps into my house and busted through the door that I noticed I forgot to lock. I saw my dark purple backpack sitting on the kitchen table.
How could I totally not see that?! Whatever, I have no time to argue with myself.
I sighed as I thrusted it around my shoulder and ran through the front door, remembering to lock it this time. I ran down the steps, and bolted to my car door.
I whipped open the car door so fast I could've sworn it shook. I shut it as fast as I could behind me and dropped my backpack on the passenger seat.
I didn't even bother to look at Henry's expression, I backed out of the driveway and drove as fast I could. I managed to be in time to drop off my brother. I kissed his cheek and wished him luck.
