~6 Months Earlier~

"So Jackson's coming back to Beacon Hills" Lydia cheered excitedly as she ran up to the group.

"Jackson?" Malia quizzed, as she tucked herself into my arms.  I kissed the top of her head, she was always lost in the conversations, being the newest addition to our group.

"Jackson is the asshole turned semi nice guy that Lydia used to date before he moved to... where did he move to?" I asked, looking back at Lydia.  She glared at my asshole comment before she decided to respond.

"He moved to England to train with a pack that Derek knew over there.  After dropping the Kanima curse, he needed some extra help learning to control his wolf."

"A weird lizard thing that seems to work for all the evil people" Scott summed it up pretty well, when both Malia and Kira's eyebrows crinkled at the mention of a kanima.

"He basically made our life a living hell for a few months" I shrugged "typical Jackson behavior."

"Thanks Stiles" Lydia glared at me "that's enough boyfriend shaming.  The point is that he's a good person that's been cursed with bad things happening to him.  Allison saw that."  I saw Scott's face fall at the mention of her name.  We all missed Allison.  I was about to console him when something in the parking lot stole all of my attention.

"You have got to be kidding me!" I shouted in anger causing everyone to follow my gaze to a certain Dark Haired bad guy stepped out of a squad car "what the hell is Theo doing here?!"

"You didn't hear, he's being released from the high security mental institution for good behavior" Lydia offered in distaste "I guess his new legal guardian made a case about the importance of school to the doctors and police department.  He's got a sort of parole officer making sure he stays out of trouble and he still has to attend counseling twice a week."

"No, I didn't.  I guess my dad forgot to mention that my murderous classmate who is out to kill my friends and I, is being released from the custody of the nut house" I groaned "just when I thought we were going to have a drama free second half of senior year."

"You know what?" Malia threw her hands in the air "who cares!  We won, okay.  Fair and square.  We freaking won!  He may be out of the mental institute, but he is done being a wrecking ball in our lives.  Screw Theo."

"I knew I was dating you for a reason" I joked lightly, kissing her on the cheek.  She had a point.  Why should we waste any more time on drama surrounding Theo.  Now that we had a witch make his wolf gene dormant, he's not that big of a problem.  I think we all silently agreed to push Theo out of our minds for the day.

We all began walking toward our first class of the day.  Kira, Lydia, and Scott had History, while Malia and I were headed to Math.  We were half way down the hall when I realized that I'd forgotten my book in my locker.

"Hey, I gotta go grab my book" I offered, stopping in my tracks "Can you tell Mrs. Meyers sorry and that I'll be a few minutes late?"  Malia and I had already parted ways from the others, as their class was on the other side of the school.

"Sure, but you better hurry.  If you leave me alone in math, I might lose it" She smiled at me and I just rolled my eyes.

"Thanks, save me a seat" I gave her a quick peck on the lips, before running off, back down the hallway from where we came.  When I reached my locker, I quickly fumbled with the lock, putting in my three number code, pulling the door open.  My hands groped around, feeling for a book underneath gum wrappers, sweatshirts, and a small emergency bag of wolfsbane.

"Man, you two are just too cute... it makes me sick really" I heard the voice, before I saw the face and I knew exactly who it was.  I ended my search for the book, peering around my locker with slitted eyes.  I couldn't help the way my blood boiled slightly at just the mere sight of him.

"You know, Malia would've been so much better off if she'd chosen me over you" He offered "she came close, I heard her heart beat rise when she saw my sexy shirtless torso.  I would've shown her a good time too.  I bet she would've jumped at the chance to run her hands all over-"

My fingernails dug into the metal of the locker door painfully, before I slammed in shut in a wave of anger.  It succeed in making his words die off, but they were easily replaced with a mischievous smirk.

"Aw, did I bruise your poor little ego?" he chuckled slightly, and that was it.  I threw myself at him, throwing his body into the lockers, causing his head to bouncy slightly.

"Or maybe your just jealous because your the one that wanted to run your hands all over my sweaty torso?" he teased, knowing what strings to pull "because you know that you could never love Malia the way she deserves.  Because we all know what your really into and it isn't what Malia's got in her pants."  I snapped, rose a hand-

"Mr. Stilinski!?  Mr. Raeken?" Mr. Harris' voice grated against my nerves, but caused me to freeze mid punch "do we have a problem that needs to be discussed with the principle?  Last time I checked, your first class started about ten minutes ago."

I wanted to blow up.  I'd like to think that I'm a level headed guy, but when it came to Theo... after just thinking about everything he'd done to us... it brought out the worst in me.  But I can't blow up, I can't lose my temper.  It would mean that Theo wins.  I can't let Theo win.

"Nope" I ground out through clenched teeth, dropping my fist and releasing Theo from my hold against the lockers "no problems here."  I knew Harris well enough to know that as much as he wants to make my life hell,  he was capable of looking the other way.  Especially before he'd had his coffee in the morning.

"Good.  Then I expect we keep it that way Mr. Stilinski" he chastised "now get to class.  Both of you."  I quickly nodded, scurrying off down the hallway before Harris could change his mind and give me detention.

By the time I reached the math classroom, I was running extremely late.  As I stepped through the door, Mrs.  Meyers gave me an upset look, but luckily didn't say anything.  I made a quick b-line for the empty seat next to Malia.

"Finally" Malia sighed "what took you so long?"  She reached for my hand and I let out a deep breath.

"Wait... and where is your book?" she continued, noticing my empty hands.

"Looks like I left it at home" I hesitated "I had a run in with Harris, that's why I'm late.  That guy hates me.  I'm lucky he didn't give me detention."  I wasn't lying... just leaving out a few key details.  Maybe because I wasn't exactly eager to divulge all the details of what Theo had said.

"Because you know that you could never love Malia the way she deserves. Because we all know what your really into and it isn't what Malia's got in her pants" Theo's words rang in my head... because as much as I hated to admit it, he was right.  I wasn't attracted to Malia they way I'd tried to convince myself I was.

I'd gone back and fourth about it all throughout high school, but the truth was getting harder and harder to deny.  I was gay, and I had to stop living a lie to try and convince myself that I'm not.  I don't deserve that.

"He's just an idiot, I mean, who couldn't love you" Malia offered as I looked over at her "I know I love you."  And Malia didn't deserve it either.
