Emily Crestfall POV

I woke up this Saturday earlier than I normally would.

Sis, please I need your help.....

I recalled the conversation I had with my cousin, it looks like he's had this sinking feeling every time he went to their school's library. He has just moved recently and the transferee thing is still new to him. He told the staff and his teachers to maybe call for a priest or someone, anyone to check it out because he had a very bad feeling about it.

But no one believes me, sis, not even my classmates who've studied here for years....

So now he wants me to do an independent investigation about it. Lets see, the town where my cousin lives in now is a two hour trip form my hometown, I caught the bus around six am. Yeah I think I'll have enough time to investigate and be on time for lunch at my uncle's house.

Maybe it won't hurt if I just take a nap....

"--op....miss, miss wake up this is your stop...."

"Huh wha...?" I woke up later than I expected, the driver looks like he'd been trying to get my attention for a while, ugh this is so embarrassing...

"We're here, kid..." He said with a gentle smile, which only makes me more embarrassed.

"Thanks...and sorry...." I said going down the bus without making eye contact, I swear I look like a tomato right now.

Ugh whatever, I just need to get to my cousin's school, looking down at my phone it looks like he's already at the gate waiting for me.

I saw him immediately once I reached the school.

"Where have you been?" He said as I came closer and just walked past him. "I have been waiting under this scorching sun for half an hour already." He added as he followed me through the gate.

"Sorry, traffic." I answered. I really didn't think there would be an accident on the way here. "Anyway, where's the library?"

"Oh you'll find it right away, just look for a room filled with a hoard of books, maybe look for the scent of old paper..."

"Don't sass me, Roman..."

"It's here, at the end of the main hallway." We both stopped in front of the large double doors of the library. "Are you ready?" He said after a while. He held the door handles with both hands and proceeded to slowly open the doors.

It was dark, but darkness didn't matter to me, I walked inside as Roman fumbled over looking for the light switch.

"They're everywhere." I said, my voice nearly inaudible.

"They? Sis you mean to say there's more than one?" Roman said as he finally turned on the lights. It gave me a jolt but I calmly let my eyes adjust to the light again. "How many are there?"

"Theres's five of them, two over there," I pointed at the table in the middle of the room, "one there and another there." I said pointing at two figures leaning on the wall at the far end and the shelf closest to the tables.

"W-where's the other one?" He said starting to get nervous.

"Didn't you say you had a sinking feeling every time you entered the library, like something weighing you down?" I said finally turning to face him.
