It's in the middle of the school year right now, so I wonder, why would a transfer student start school at this time. Emily Crestfall thought to herself. As she had mentioned before, word had gotten around the school that an out of season transfer student would start attending sometime around tomorrow.

"Who do you think will it be? And from which country?" Just then, during break time the girls in the class started to say.

Emily had been working on another design of her's for a more efficient way of using her bike, when someone from behind, a friend of her's, tugged at the back of her collar, calling out to her. Unfortunately she was, for a time, too immersed in her thoughts to have noticed.

"EMILY, ANSWER ME!! ARE YOU DEAD?!!" Erissa Raye, her best friend, shouted into her ear.

"OWW!! WHAT THE HELL DUDE!!" She shouted back as she clutched her ear, trying to ignore the ringing sound inside her head.

"Oh thank goodness, you're alive" Erissa said in relief, seemingly ignoring the fact Emily almost lost her eardrum because of her. "So, what was it you wanted to ask me?" Emily said.

"It's about the new kid...." Erissa started off.

"Eri, you too?"

"Well its not everyday that this happens, I mean imagine if he or she can get along with us?"

"Why don't I leave you to speculate those kinds of things on your own, hmm k?"

"Emi, you are so mean... I was just curious, do I not even have the right to be curious anymore?!!"

"You know i didn't mean it like that..."

"Why're you so nonchalant about the new kid anyway? Any normal person would get curious." She said it with such a glint in her eyes that Emily couldn't help a grin from spreading on her face.

Any normal person huh? Emily thought.

"Hey girls, what're you chatting about? Are you being sneaky again?" A male voice chimed in. The ladies looked up to see the popular Gerrard Broker, their friend from a lower grade.

"Gerrard! You came to see us on your break?" Erissa beamed, standing up to hug her underclassman.

"Hello, Gerrard how have you been as of late?" Emily also stood up in acknowledgment, unlike Erissa, she was aware of the jealous glares projected to them by Gerrard's fans, foolish girls, she thought.

"Yes, I have been feeling fine, father." Gerrard faced Emily standing straight and saluted as if he were raised like a soldier, until he cant help the grin forming on his lips. "Hahaha, oh dad you're infecting me with your formality again~" he loosened his rigid form and laughed.

"Hey, what's wrong with being a little formal?" She said playfully.

"It's so like you, that it's too much to bear!!" He teased.

"W-wait a damned minute you guys!! When did this 'Dad' thing even start!!" Erissa cut in. Three pairs of eyes looked at each other in confusion and they were suddenly aware of the many eyes gawking at them from within and outside of the classroom.

"We can explain--" They said in unison, but before they can relay their explaination, the bell had rung which marked the end of the break.

"Yikes, see ya later ladies!" Gerrard ran without even a backward glance, intent on getting back to class before his teacher arrives.

"Give me a full explanation later." Erissa hissed before going back to her seat as their teacher walked in.

"Oh! So its like that?" Erissa clasped her hands together. "Gerrard called you 'dad' because he thought you acted like a father sometimes huh? Then shouldn't I be the mom?" She beamed enthusiastically.
