The Unknown Mate

Chapter 1

"You ready sweetheart" my dad asks me.

"Yeah just a minute" I say

Here I am getting ready for my 18th birthday. We're having a big celebration, all my friends and family are coming over. I finished putting on my makeup in the bathroom, I had foundation, powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and a nude matte lipstick. I had the full works on my face. I walked over to my wardrobe and found my dress that I bought a few weeks ago. It was a nude silk fabric with black patterned netting on top it was a long strapless dress. It was gorgeous, I put the dress on and grab my nude diamond high heels and I put them on. I put my small pendant necklace on that was from my brother.

"Come on sweetheart, people are waiting" my father says through the door

"I'm coming out now" I open my door and my mum has tears in her eyes so does my dad.

"Honey you look stunning" my mum cries

"Your mum is right sweetheart" I gave my parents a tight hug and thank them.

We all walk down the stairs to the front room. The room was covered in balloons, banners, presents, cards. I stood there stunned. All my friends and family were here.

"Happy birthday Thea" everyone shouts, tears fall from my eyes

"Happy birthday gorgeous" my friend Cole hugs me.

I start walking around the house saying thank you to everyone that came. Suddenly my body began to hurt and became sore. I went out into the back garden for fresh air. I walked into the forest for a bit. The leaves falling from the trees and flower beginning to blossom. I kept walking forward until I came to a clearing. It was beautiful, flowers, green grass, clear blue lake. It was a scene to admire.

Then out of nowhere I hear a mighty growl. I look around me and see a wolf looking straight at me. The wolf was massive nearly towering me. The wolf had black fur with white paws and a scar by its beautiful blue eyes. I was glued to the wolfs eyes. My heart started beating faster. Then before my eyes the wolf changed into a human.

Realisation hits me of what's just happened I turn around and run as fast as my legs can take me but arms wrap around me body they send tinkles and warmth through me and cause me to holt to a stop. I look up at the same ocean blue eyes and see no emotion. He lets me go and looks me into the eyes.

"What are you doing on my land" he growls out to me

"I was just strolling into the forest" I reply

"You sure about that one" he growls at me again

"Yes I am" my body starts being sore again he looks at me with scowl and a raised eyebrow.

"You'll have to see my pack doctor come with me" he growls

He starts walking so I follow behind. How is this even possible for a human to be a wolf? It's impossible isn't it? Why is he so handsome? All these questions going through my head. We've been walking for a bit now I look and see this beautiful brown 3 floor house around the house was parks, children, and a meadow at the back of the house which was gorgeous.

He takes me through the front door and upstairs the house inside was stunning. The house had beautiful old history artwork and amazing white furniture. As we make our way upstairs I notice how tense he actually was. We make it up to the third floor and I looked around and it looked like a hospital, a man in a white lab coat around about his late 30's comes over to us.

"What can I help you with Alpha" the man says

"Doctor I can smell wolf on her but it's not too strong. Can you check to see if she's one of us" he says well grunts out

Me a wolf there's no way I'm all human. My parents would of told me if I was an animal. My mind was on overload that I didn't notice I was on a bed with things connected in my arms and that man with the ocean blue eyes was gone. My heart was hurting knowing he wasn't here, something was drawing me to him I can't put my finger on it.

What seemed like forever the doctor was done examining me. I hear the door open and see a beautiful blond tall woman walk in.

"Hey my name is Callum" she says

"Hi I'm Thea" I say back

"The doctor says part of you is werewolf, but the Alpha is deciding what to do with you" she tells me

"I want to speak with him" my voice comes out quiet

"As you wish follow me"

I get off the hospital bed and follow Callum down to the second floor and to a brown door with Alpha Gabriel on a gold square plate on the door. She knocks twice and opens the door. There he sat behind a big oak desk looking a papers. I was drawing to him again, I wanted to touch him, hug him, kiss.

"What do you want to talk to me about" he grunts out

I deciding what to say, they weren't going to kill me were they. I don't want to die.

"I want to prove that I can be a werewolf and be a part of your pack, let me prove it please" my voice comes out small

"You have 3 months to prove it, if you aren't a wolf by then I will kill you. If you betray me I kill you, got it" he growls

"Yes"
