Chapter Thirteen

Harry’s POV

“Hello little girl with sheep pyjamas on” I replied to her.

“I like sheep” she said in cute voice.

“Really, I like turtles” I bent down so I was the same height as her.

“You’re not large anymore, but you still have curly hair” She giggled and reached her soft hand out and pulled one of my curls and watched it spring back into place, she giggled again.

“Are you making fun of my hair?” I pulled a sad face, she laughed again before shaking her head, I couldn’t help but smile at her; she was adorable.

“You have holes in your cheeks like Joseph” she said; pointing her finger in one of my dimples.

“They’re called dimples and who’s Joseph?” I asked looking up from Lola to look at Sophia.

“Joseph is Lola’s friend at school, he also has dimples” Sophia explained to me before laughing.

“Oh right” I replied, I turned my attention back to Lola who was staring at me.

“What’s your name?” She asked me.

“My name is Harry, what is your name?” I stuck out my hand for her to take.

“Harrwe” She giggled before saying “My name is Lola” and she took my hand; her hand was tiny compared to mine.

“Right Lola it’s time for you to go to bed now” Sophia said as she stood up from the sofa.

“Aww but mama, can’t we watch Barney, Harrwe wants to watch Barney don’t you Harrwe?” Lola said before looking at me with pleading eyes.

I looked up to Sophia before getting up myself and dusting myself off.

“Only if it’s ok with your mama” I replied not wanting to annoy Sophia by keeping Lola up.

Lola turned back around to face her ‘mama’ and walked up to her.

“Please mama, just one Barney episode?” Sophia’s face softened.

“Just one and then you go straight to bed; you don’t want to be tired in school tomorrow”

“Yayy! Come on Harrwe” She said happily before coming back over to me and pulling me by the hand, she brought me over to the sofa.

Sophia was now placing the DVD in the player and walked back over to find me and Lola on the sofa; she sat down on the other side of Lola.

The DVD started and Lola sang along to the Barney theme tune, I started to sing along with her; Sophia turned to me and just laughed before joining in too.

It wasn’t long after putting it on that Lola feel asleep, her head was lying on my chest, and her legs were sprawled out across Sophia. Her teddy bear was still cuddled into her chest.

Sophia moved her head so she was looking at me; I turned my head round to look at her.

“I think I should take her up to bed” She said in a whisper.

“No it’s ok, I’ll take her” I her picked her up before walking to the door, only to remember I didn’t know which bedroom upstairs was Lola’s.

Before I had the chance to ask Sophia, she said “when you reach the top of the stairs it’s the first left.” I nodded my head at her and made my way out of the room and up the stairs; following Sophia’s directions. I quietly kicked open Lola’s door which was slightly open anyway and walked into her room, spotting her bed in the corner. I used my spare arm to throw back her covers and placed her on the bed, before throwing the covers over her. She lay on her back, sound asleep, still cuddling her teddy.
