RAVISH
Sleeping Tight
Ravish woke up to yet another brand new day, for Ravish it wasn’t actually anything new and exciting as he followed his good old routine. The first task on it was to of course wake up, followed by showering and getting dressed in school uniform. Ravish yawned as he walked towards the shower. He always turned the cold water on first, in case he accidentally turned the hot one on too much and got himself burnt. Ravish quickly slipped on his school uniform after the shower and began to walk downstairs. He loved the stairs in his house, to the fact that they started from one end of the house and ended up at the other. It was like taking a tour through the entire home, when guests were ever over he would always take them upstairs just to show off how brilliant the stairway really was. Ravish walked into the kitchen like any other morning following step by step instructions in his routine that was all in his mind. Mother was waiting for the toast to pop up as Ravish sat at the kitchen bench.
‘Good morning Ravish. How is my little Einstein this morning?’ Mother asked giggling a little bit.
‘Mother you know that this test is the biggest one of the year. It is really important to me, and if I don’t do well I might end up living in a gutter?’ Ravish said stating the obvious.
Mother screwed her face up slightly.
‘Who on earth told you that you would end up in a gutter?’
Ravish looked at Mother and didn’t respond, he didn’t want to say and get someone in trouble for what he had said. Mother got impatient and straightened up her back.
‘Ravish? Who said this to you?’ She began to add anger into her voice by deepening it.
‘Connor.’ Ravish spurted out like a cough.
