Alyssa P.O.V.                                                                                                                                                                             -----------------

I wake up and roll out of bed clumsily, making a thump on the floor.

"Alyssa? Are you okay?" I hear my mom yell through the walls.

"I'm fine mom!" I giggle lightly and get up. I walk over to my closet to pick out an outfit. I grab a red sundress that hugs me tightly and some yellow converse. I pull my dark red hair up into a ponytail and curl the strands that hang down. I grab my book bag and jump down the stairs.

"Morning Mom! Morning Dad!" I grin and kiss my parents on the cheek.

"What would you like dear, eggs and bacon, or fruit?" my mom asks softly. Her words glide out of her mouth, sweet like honey.

"Johanna, stop spoiling the girl" my father jokes lightly. My mom laughs and I smile.

"Eggs please, no bacon," I smile, "So, dad, what's on the agenda today?"

"Funny you ask..." He laughs nervously. "You have to take the train today..."

"What?! Why?!" I say frustrated.

"Do not use that tone with your father." My mother says kindly.

"I'm sorry dad." I look down.

"It's fine sweetie." My dad smiles. "I have to get to work early, so I can't take you into the city."

"Oh, I better go then, if I'm going to make the train." I smile softly. Getting up and pushing my chair in, I walk towards the door.

"But you didn't eat dear," My mom says. I shrug and walk out. I feel the warm breeze hit me as I look around. I wave to everyone I pass as I head to the train. I pull out my phone and put my earbuds in. The fast song by Twenty-One Pilots flood into my ears. I smile happily and start to run to the train tracks. I sprint fast. My feet hit the dirt to the fast beat of the song. I reach the train tracks quickly, breathing steadily. I had always loved running. I was around 5' 10" and too thin in my opinion. I was flat and shapeless. I had a plain face and a plain body with it. At least I was a little muscular. I was quick too. I see the train approaching so I hold my phone tightly and begin to run. I jump onto the train and swing around, straight into a tall, muscular body.

"Oh, I'm so so-" I'm cut off when I look up. God he was gorgeous. He had to be around 6' 4", he had tan skin, black hair, and you could see a tattoo creep up behind his ear.

"It's fine." He smiles softly, he had pearly white teeth, and a sweet smile.

"Could you um." he says quietly, I snap back into reality and realize I'm gripping his shirt tightly. I drop my hands immediately.

"Oh god, I'm so sorry, I, just, um, you, um" I blabber like an idiot. Good one Aly, I say to myself.

"It's fine, really. I'm Uriah." He chuckles and leans on the side of the car.

"Why are you laughing at me?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, your obviously a little dumbstruck, and although watching you blabber like an idiot is cute, it's also quite amusing." He smirks slightly.

"For your information, I. Don't. Blabber." I roll my eyes, but I can't help but blush.

"Sure, and who are you, if I might ask" He looks at me, expecting an answer. "I mean well obviously you're another soft amity, but besides that."

"I am not soft." I glare at him, "and my name's Alyssa."

"Really? You say you aren't a soft, scared, amity baby?" I nod slowly, "Prove it." I look at him, wondering what he meant. Next thing I know he's leaning in to kiss me. Of course I'd kissed guys before, romance and happiness was how amity was, but I'd never kissed a guy like Uriah. I mean, he actually can kiss. The other kisses were happy, soft, but not at all like this. This was passionate, full of want, and care. I kiss him, putting my hands in his black hair. I couldn't believe this was happening. I don't want to pull away, but I find myself needing air. I pull back and grin.

"Not bad for a softy, right?" I smirk.

"Not at all. I actually wouldn't mind that happening again." He blushes slightly.

"As much as I'd love to, I need to get to school. My choosing ceremony's tomorrow." I turn to jump off.

"Wait!" He says urgently, I turn around.

"Yeah?" I ask, nervous about what he would say.

"I'd like to see you in Dauntless. You're definitely brave enough, plus, maybe we could continue this" He motions to himself and then me.

"Maybe you will, maybe you won't" I smile and walk back to him, kiss him briefly, and then turn around. I wave goodbye and jump off the train.

Well this was fun! I hope you enjoy! Don't be afraid to comment! This is my first original so don't be to hard. Thanks!
