It was just an ordinary Wednesday, a couple days after Tyler and I had hung out. A couple days after, the big hunk of wow, told me that he was related to that devil.
You see the reason why I didn't know that they were related was because...3 days prior
"I didn't know you were related to Andrew? I went to school with him in elementary and middle school. Were you here then?"
I asked searching his eyes for answers.
"No. It's a long story. After my parents went missing on a trip to Spain, my aunt and uncle- Andrews parents took me in."
"Oh, I'm so sorry Tyler. That's horrible, I'm sure there out there somewhere. Safe."
He sighed and his eyes held, sadness, despair, and sorrow. That's when I crashed into his well toned arms and hugged him as tight as I could. He smelt like roses and popcorn.
---
There I was. Reminiscing about my night with Tyler Marcs.
"Jillian"
My day had to be ruined.
"What do you want Andrew?"
"Jillian Morena"
"What Andrew what do you want!"
"I already said, I want Jillian Morena."
I looked up and stared into his eyes, I couldn't help the blush that was slowly creeping onto my face. I barley blushed because of my tan skin tone, but when I did... It was not pretty.
"ANDREW I WON! I won the game, leave me alone now-"
Before I could finish my sentence, he quickly added
"No, whoever falls IN LOVE first. I have not fallen in love with you. Why Jilli have you?"
Aha me fall in love with him. That train has past.
"Look Andrew you're not my type. Your arrogance is blinding. Oh and don't call me Jilli, my friends call me Jilli. To you I'm Jillian."
"Well so I guess you have a sweet spot for my cousin."
He smirked, and I swear I could see his devil horns come out of his head. He then added.
"I mean we are related. I could see why you like him. We're built the same. Same jawline, same cheekbones, the only difference between him and me are our eyes. I bet you picture me when you're with him. Why get the second best if the best is right here."
I slapped that smirk right off his face.
"No. You may be related, but you're absolutely nothing alike. You made fun of me, you hurt me, you played nice in front of my face. He's genuine. You're like a child who wants something he can't have. YOU. CANT. HAVE. ME."
I spat the words out with venom. I didn't care, after all those years of longing for him, it's time for the table to turn. I walked off and I didn't look back.
----
After school that day Julian promised to take me to the mall after football practice. I sat at the bleachers and waited. I spotted Tyler and waved. He waved back and winked. Which caused my heart to beat frantically.
He raced to the bleachers where I was at."Hey Jilli, whatcha doing here?"
"I'm waiting for Julian, he's my ride."
He smiled and my heart fluttered and bounced around in my chest. I stared at him, and maybe Andrew was right, they had the same face structure. If I just imagined him with brown eyes- wait what am I doing. Jillian stop that.
"So what do ya say? You up for it?"
"Wait sorry Andrew, what'd ya say?"
Holy cow... I just called him Andrew. He stared at me not saying a word. He repeated himself. This time with a straight face. His smile had vanished.
"I said. If you wanted to come to a party with me on Friday, but it's a Whatever if you're not into it-"
"No no" I stopped him. "Yeah I'll go, it'll be fun!"
We said our goodbyes, and I wanted to kick myself. No I wanted to KILL myself.
I had one question. Did I still have feelings for ..."ANDREW run the play again! Tyler stop talking to your lady friend."
"Yes coach"
Wow even their voices were a bit similar.
----
"Julian the nerve of that guy! Who does he think he is! He thinks that we could just worm his way into my life. PSH"
"Jillian I swear I didn't know you had it THAT bad in middle school..."
"Yeah well, I didn't show it. Why are you guys friends? I hate him."
"Jills it's not fair, let me be friends with Andrew. I mean I dislike Tyler, but you're still hanging out with him."
"Jules it's different"
"Jillian how's it so different. Exactly it's not."
"Fine" I muttered. "Give me your debit card."
---
As I lay there in bed I glance at the clock. It's 1:42 and I still can't sleep. I have to get up at 6.
Tckkkk
Tckkkkk
"PPPPSSSSST"
"Jillian"
"What the" I whispered under my breath. I looked out my window and there sitting on the tree outside my window was Andrew Lawrence.
"ANDREW holy cow. You're gonna break the branch. Get in here. It's pouring, quickly."
Andrew was soaked and shivering. I grabbed my blanket and wrapped it around him.
"Thanks Jillian I couldn't sleep and I saw that your light was on..."
I did a double take. "Andrew where do you live?"
He chuckled and had a sheepish grin. "Uh right across the street."
I managed to see past the trees and the raindrops and saw the light brown house with a Lexus and a hummer parked In front.
"You've got to be kidding me." I whisper yelled "not only are we locker neighbors, we're actual neighbors as well?!"
"Mmmm yep, isn't it fate!" He smirked. I swear I was gonna smack him harder this time.
"GO HOME TYLER"
"Anyways JILIAN" he put emphasis using my name.
"We need to update our game. Here's the contract. Sign here. Here. And here. Then I'll get out."How harmful could it be.
I grumbled. "Get me a pen"
