The teacher told Robin to sit next to Mary. This was perfect. She could find out stuff about him and tell me everything.
We were at literature. Boring. I silently took out my phone and started typing.
"Hey Eleanor."
"Hi Aby."
"What are you up to?"
"Nothing important. Working on the story. What about you?"
"I'm at school."
"Omg texting in class you bad girl!"
"You bet I am. Hey do you wanna meet at the park after class?"
"I'm kinda busy, I really have to work on the story."
"Pls just for a couple of hours! Besides, you really should take a break..."
"All right :)"
I put my phone in my left pocket and stared at Robin. His eyes were so beautiful. His lips looked so soft. His messy hair... We would be perfect together.
I was at the park waiting for Eleanor. When I saw her coming I smiled. The grass was green and recently cut. The trees were full of little silky pink flowers, which kept on falling to the grass constantly. I was standing behind a couple of bushes that were a little bit smaller than me.
"Hi Aby." She said when she saw me. She was wearing a blue, plain strapless dress tight, but not too much, that marked her figure. Her lips were thick, strong and pink. Her eyes were blue and beautiful, and her long eyelashes made me a little bit jealous. Her hair was long and soft. I could smell her strawberry perfume from where I stood.
"Hey!" She stared at me.
"You look...great." She said. I blushed.
"Thanks! Same to you."
"Thanks!" We sat down on the grass.
"How's your story?" I asked after some minutes of silence.
"Great, or at least I hope so...but let's talk about something else. Lately, that's all I can think about: the story. Well the story and..."
"Hey, let's keep our minds off it for a while, for example, let's go to the cinema or something."
"Sounds great."
"That horror movie about the clown maybe..."
"No way! I totally hate clowns!"
"Oh my god...you're afraid of...clowns?"
"Come on! Everybody's afraid of something. What are you afraid of?"
"Spiders! They're the worse! They're so ugly and furry and gross and-"
"Good. Cause there's one right next to you." I jumped iut of the grass as quickly as I could, as Eleanor stood up besides me. i started screaming and jumping. I hugged Eleanor as hard as I could, when she started laughing.
"Eleanor! Never do that again!"
"Sorry, it was just too easy."
We just stared into eachother's eyes and I realized I still was wrapped around her arms. Her smiled was beautiful. Really beautiful. Her eyes were so pretty and her skin... It looked so soft that I wanted to touch it to see if it really was... Until I realized my hand actually WAS touching her. It went from her cheek down to her neck. It WAS soft. Still her smile hadn't vanished. My hand couldn't leave her face. It was like a magnet. As much as I tried, it was impossible. I realized we were getting closer. I didn't know what to do, as I didn't really understand the situation. Suddenly our lips met. It was an impulse.
She placed her hand on my waist and gently stroked through it. I couldn't stop myself. Then her hand travelled to my butt. I pressed my lips more firmly this time. I knew this was wrong. But somewhere it felt...right. What was I doing? Wasn't I in love with... Robin? Under a big tree, standing firmly and sure of himself, was Robin. But he wasn't alone. He was kissing someone. A lot of feelings suddenly attacked me, as I saw Mary kissing him. My legs twisted and we suddenly fell into the bushes. I grabbed Eleanor by the elbow and hid behind them. She looked at me surprised and confused, but all I could think about was Robin. And, after checking it twice, Mary.
They had stopped kissing, and Mary was now looking at the bushes with fear and worry.
"Aby..." Eleanor whispered, grabbing me by the elbow.
"Sorry." I mumbled and immediately started running. I didn't even have time to look at Eleanor's sweet upset face. Tears fell from my eyes. I couldn't look back.
What if they had seen me? What would Robin think? My Robin! I'm not a... It wasn't what it looked like. But what was it then? And Mary? I would have never expected that she would betray me that way! My best friend!
Most importantly: the kiss. That kiss felt right. Unlike any other kiss. It was...perfect. But it couldn't be. I had to forget that kiss, that day. I couldn't confront Mary about what I saw. That whole day was a mistake.
