I looked over from the TV screen to see Cat and Jeremy practically laying on top each other. I nudged her softly with my elbow. She turned her head as I smiled and winked at her. Her cheeks flushed bright red for a moment and she turned her attention back to Jeremy and the movie, but mostly Jeremy. They slowly scooted away from Grace and I until they were by the stairs and were out of hearing range. I leaned in towards Grace's ear and whispered to her, "Just look at those two love birds, aren't they so cute," I said sarcastically.
She looked at them, then to me. "The cutest," she responded. We stopped the movie because no one was into it at this point because we had all really lost interest. Cat and Jeremy had gone off to flirt by the stairs and Grace and I had gotten sucked into the endless void of nothingness, that was YouTube. We had already watched two videos of people getting attacked by wild animals and another video of two gay dogs fucking right outside of a church before we realized that Cat and Jeremy weren't in the basement anymore.
"Where the hell did they go," Grace asked, looking around the basement.
"I don't know," I said, also looking around the room for them, even though they were clearly not down there. I stood up and started towards the stairs with Grace behind me. "Cat," I yelled up.
"Jeremy," Grace yelled after me. No one responded so we went up all the way. We searched on the middle level and found nothing. "Jeremy," she yelled once more.
"I'll call Cat," I offered. I pulled out my phone and called her. The phone rang three times before she answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey Cat, it's Connor. Where the hell are you two?"
"Oh," she replied, sounding shocked. We forgot to tell you guys, but we went to get some ice cream."
"Thanks for telling us," I said sarcastically. "When will you guys be back?"
"Um, I don't know. Jeremy," she yelled. "When will we be back to your house?" I heard some noises before cat responded to me. "Like twenty minutes."
"Ok," I said. "Try not to be too long with your boyfriend. I hung up and looked at Grace. "They went to get ice cream without us."
"That's so sweet of them," she said sarcastically. She walked past me towards the kitchen, I followed. She opened the freezer and pulled out a tub of ice cream. "He knew we had that shit right here. He just wanted to be alone with her," she laughed. She opened the lid and began to scoop some into a bowl. "Want some?"
"Sure," I said back. "I can't believe it. She has such a big crush on him. I'm glad to see that he likes her too."
"Let's be real," she said firmly. "Who doesn't have a crush on my brother?"
"That's true," I responded. "Like half the school does," I laughed.
She handed me the black bowl. "So, Cat told me that you and Jase are a thing now; how's that going for ya?" She scooped her a bite of ice cream and ate it.
"It's really good. I mean, I don't want to say it's perfect, cause that brings a shit tone of karma later on." I now took a bite of my ice cream.
She laughed at what I said, trying not to spit out the food that was in her mouth. "True," she responded after swallowing. "Well, I'm glad things are going great." She paused for a second before continuing. "So, you two done the do?" The corner of her mouth turned up to a slight smile as she asked.
"Maybe," I said giving her a big smile. We laughed simultaneously before I explained. It's actually great. He was my first, so that automatically made it special and great; but honestly, it's amazing. Like, I've heard what it's like but either no one explains it well, or he is just so much better than most people." She raised her eyebrow, causing me to blush slightly.
