My best friend's brother

Crushing

After the movie was over and we walked out of the theater to Cat's car, she looked at me and shook her head.

"What," I said. My voice went higher than I wanted it to. I knew I was going to regret something.

"You like him, I can tell."

"Who? Your brother? Hell no, I barely know the guy. I've said like ten words to him."

"Don't think that I didn't see how you two looked at each other. Or how your hands touched several times."

"You're brother's not even gay. He wouldn't even be interested in me. And our hands only touched once."

"I'm not oblivious Connor, I can tell he's gay. I've known for years that he is. I just don't think he knew it until recently. I also think that he likes you back."

"No he doesn't," I argued. I opened the door and sat down in my seat. I knew that I liked him and I knew that I could never make a move on him. I mean, he's Cat's brother; she'd kill me! I mean yeah he has gorgeous brown eyes, an amazing face, and a great personality, but he's her brother and that would just become awkward.

We shut the doors and turned the car on, to feel the cool air blowing on our faces. We drove back to her house.

"What are you guys up to," he said as he walked into the kitchen. His black shoes stood out from the cream colored tile floors.

"We're going to play a game later and yes you can play. I know you'll want to.

"What game," I asked her. I wasn't even aware of what game we would play.

"Spin the bottle," She answered. She grabbed an empty bottle from the recycling bin and sat down on the cream colored leather couch. The doorbell rang as soon as she did. I walked over and opened it. Loren walked in and went to the living room to sit with cat. There was no point in shutting the door. Four or five more people walked in right after her.

"Cat," her brother said. "We aren't going to play spin the bottle."

"Fuck yeah we are," she shouted back to him. "Come on, you're playing too."

"No I'm not,' he said.

"Connor, so are you." I took a breath and let it out before I walked over to sit with the group. Her brother came over and sat down next to me. You could tell he wasn't amused.

"Mom's out doing work so I invited a couple of friends over," she said.

She was first of course.  She took the last few sips of her drink and put the bottle in the middle.  "Let's see who the lucky winner is," she said out loud.  She spun the bottle and it landed in Jeramy.
Jeramy was this REALLY hot guy who went to our school.  He was super sweet and super smart.  It was actually really shocking to find out that he was single because a guy like that really shouldn't be.
Everybody made their sounds of shock and excitement as Cat and Jeramy leaned in for the kiss.  Their lips met and he put his hands on her face.  The kiss was sexy and fiery.  Everyone awed and screamed and yelled. Phones were out and pictures were being taken. Everyone got real hot, real quick.

Since I was sitting next to Cat it was my turn to spin the bottle. I spun the bottle and just because the world hates me, it landed pointing towards Jase. I blushed a little and looked over to Cat. She was siting there trying not to pee herself with excitement. I turned to Jase and leaned in for the kiss. His lips met mine and my mind exploded. We kissed more than once and didn't stop until it got awkward. I didn't look at Jase the rest of the game. I could feel his eyes staring at me again. My face was on fire and my mind was going crazy.
