Chapter Nine – Deal or No Deal?
I got up feeling a pool of heat rise up my neck. What was I doing? Was I gonna finally admit it? No, I don’t think that’s it… is it? I opened the door quickly having Lucien jump at me, crashing his lips into mine. I pushed him off, leaving him breathless. “Wait,” I breathed out. “I need to tell you something.”
He cocked his head sideways not knowing where I was going with this.
I hesitated for a moment not wanting to say this, but I stop myself and say it anyway. “I’ll be with you, but!” I stopped him before he attacked me again. “I have one condition.”
He frowned slightly almost seeing where I was going with this.
“I’ll date you for let’s say two weeks.” I began and he smiled nodding. “But if I don’t fall for you in the end then that’s the end of us. And I’ll have to get rid of this thing!”
I pointed at the tattoo that was on my hip, still tingling every now and then from the pain. He stared at it lovingly, then at me with a cold stare. “Why?” he asked.
“Because this says I’m yours…” I air quoted the last words. “And well I’m not, so just face it. Deal or no Deal?”
He glared at me for a long while, making me feel like… maybe this isn’t gonna work out. He made a quick movement making me shut my eyes. But to my surprise… nothing happened. “Deal,” He said. Which made me open my eyes to see his hand outward. He was agreeing? What the hell? I smiled inwardly, happy that my plan to finally get away from him somehow worked! My mixed emotions for him would soon be gone, yes?
“Ok well, I’ll be letting you go then…” I drawled out, slowly closing the door.
“Wait.” He stopped me.
“What?” I asked.
He leaned to my face and gently laid a kiss on my lips. A jolt went through my stomach causing it to do flips. Then it eased with warmth that covered my whole body. Dammit! It was these feelings that I hated most. Why did I feel this way about a guy but not with a beautiful and amazing girl? I sighed when Lucien pulled away, making him smile deviously. That sigh wasn’t intended for him dammit! I closed the door right when he said to me, “A good night’s kiss.”
*Ring Ring*
I walked over to my counter picking up my phone that seemed to be ringing. I answered it on a whim. “Hewwo?” I said, with my toothbrush still in my mouth.
“Hey Danny boy!” a certain gossipers voice greeted.
“Hey Kelly,” I replied, pulling out my toothbrush. “Whatcha want?”
“You gay?” Kelly asked seriously.
