Martian Manhunter P.O.V

Today was the day I decided to introduce Danny to the Young Justice. Honestly I have been worried since he is a very timid child that doesn't stray far from myself. But I cannot deny that being with the others could help him open up to others. I looked down at my leg to find Danny shaking violently and clutching a green stuffed dog that he had named Cujo to his chest. He's already scared and we haven't even entered the Zeta Tubes. ' Daniel you have nothing to fear. No one there will ever even dream of hurting you ' I comforted through a mind link. He'd always been more fond of talking through the Link then physically speaking. ' I know but what if they no like because I small ' Danny replied through the link. ' that will not happen Daniel. You will be safe. ' I assured but the small boy didn't seem convinced. I sighed and picked him up gently before walking through the portal. After a flash of white light we were at Mount Justice. Danny was tense and shaking in my arms. I noticed him shut his eyes tightly and cling to Cujo tighter. I found all the members sitting in the living room with their mentors behind him. ' this may be too many people for Danny ' I thought as I looked around the room.  "hmm. Martian you're here " Batman commented as he looked over at us. I nodded. " I am. " I replied simply. " who's the kid in your arms?" Barry asked confused. " this is the newest member I had mentioned. This is Phantom " I informed as the Young Justice team looked confused and possibly annoyed. " are you serious? I thought we finally gained some respect from you guys and your saying that we have to let a preschooler join the team?! " Wally stated angrily as he stood up. " Phantom is..... dare I say it, possibly stronger then most of you. Even without powers " I defended as the small boy whimpered in my arms. " Wally I bet that kid is smarter then you also. So sit down and lets see what he's got " Artemis defended as she crossed her arms. Wally grumbled as he sat down. 

' Danny would you like to show your powers off ' I asked through the mind link. 

' will you hold Cujo?' Daniel asked as he kept his face buried into my shoulder. 

' yes Danny. Ill hold Cujo and keep him safe ' I replied. Danny nodded and gave Cujo to me. I smiled softly at him as he flew up next to my shoulder. " shall we get this done with" I ask and receive nods from everyone. I nodded as well before leading Daniel to the training room. The platform lit up as the boy landed himself on it. " Fighter One-Phantom " The machine announced. " Black Canary? Will you?" I asked. Her eyes widened slightly before she hesitantly nodded. " Fighter Two-Black Canary " the machine announced. " Manhunter is this a smart idea to pin the kid against her?" Batman asked. " just watch " I replied. " One.....Two.....Three.....Match start '' The platform announced. Canary took a nervous fighting stance while Danny stood normally. He let his eyes close slowly before they turned  brighter shade of green. He ran at Canary but stopped and let out a almost heartbreaking Wail on her. Black Canary was flung back against the wall which cracked behind her. Danny panted heavily.

" Winner-Phantom " 

The team stared wide eyed at the toddler. " well that was new " Wally finally said. Danny flew back over to me quickly. I handed him Cujo back before he buried himself into my shoulder again. Aqualad helped Canary up. " not bad kid. Not bad" she said with respect to the small boy. ' Thank you miss ' Danny replied through a mind link set up with everyone. Superboy didn't take kindly to that. " Stay out my head!" he half shouted, making Danny flinch and start shaking violently. He bit his lip and shut down all link connections immediately. " Cut the kid some slack Conner. He didn't know " Robin spoke up firmly. Conner scoffed and walked out the room and to his own. Danny kept his head down and buried himself into his arms more. ' told you ' he thought to himself. " Daniel will you please choose one person to have watch you for a time being? I've got business to attend to quickly " I asked, feeling him tense dramatically. He turned back to the team and floated down before hiding himself in Robins cape. " S-stoplight " Danny said timidly. The room fell silent for a moment before Wally cracked up laughing. " oh I like this kid " The speedster said happily. Robin blushed a bit and tried to hide his embarrassment. Even freaking Batman let a small smile slip. " well Phantom does have a point " Artemis commented as she was failing to suppress a giggle. Maybe I was a bit too worried. Danny should fit in just fine.
