Chapter Four
~Tris Prior~
I woke up to arms wrapped around my body. Of course the arms belonged to Tobias. I looked at him as he slept. I think this was when I was most in love with him, when he was asleep. I wondered to myself what he dreamed about, then I noticed something. I didn't wake up screaming in the middle of the night from a nightmare that had crept it's way into my mind. I gently got up and stretched. I didn't want to wake Tobias so I decided I would go and bring breakfast back for both of us.
As I walked into the dining hall I saw a familiar face. Caleb.
"Caleb!" I shouted and ran toward my brother and hugged him tightly.
I could barely fit my arms around him and he of course laughed at this.
"Hello Beatrice." He greets as he goes to wait in line for breakfast.
"Why haven't you visited me at all?" I asked as a frown played on the corner of my lips.
"I have my reasons." He replied.
Well what are they? I asked to myself this question as we walked through the line.
Caleb didn't even bother to say goodbye to me, he just simply walked away. I shook this feeling of betrayal away quickly, I could not break down...I was not going to break down, or at least not until I got back to Tobias.
I walked very slowly as I carried the two trays of food back to the blanket Tobias and I had spread out the night before. He was still asleep. I decided now would be a wonderful opportunity to wake him up. I pressed my lips gently to his and his lips quickly creased into a smile as he kissed back.
"Well Good Morning." He greeted and sat up then pulled me onto his lap.
"I got us breakfast." I say as I pull the tray toward me.
Today breakfast was made up of, eggs, toast, bacon, and a few slices of fruit. It wasn't the most ideal breakfast, but who cared? It was food. Tobias and I ate in silence. I was curious to why this was, we ʊsɛd to always talk during breakfast...ʊsɛd to.
I finished and sat my tray to the side and helped Tobias transfer the large blanket back inside to our room, where I then made the bed as he took a well-needed shower.
I looked around the room. What would have happened if I hadn't survived that bullet...what would have happened if I...I swallowed hard at just the thought of this.
Just then Tobias walked out with his boxers on. I had never really taken into consideration on how toned his body was. I smiled at this.
"What are you giggling about?" He teased and poked me in the stomach gently.
I laughed.
"I love you." I say.
He doesn't respond at first, but when he does it is not with words it's with his lips.
The feeling of his lips against mine sends electricity through my body, I want his body. For the first time I love Tobias Eaton to the fullest, every detail about him, his dark blue eyes, his short Abnegation hair, or even his personality when he's drunk. I keep my lips pressed to his as long as I could.
He pulled away.
"So, Christina said she wanted to go shopping with you today so I thought you two could have a girls day." He stated and smiled at me.
Christina and I walked around town. We weren't shopping for ourselves I mean what was there to shop for? Clothes? Yeah because that was definitely going to make me forget about my near death experience. I stalk slowly behind Christina.
"Tris, please be happy. I hate seeing you unhappy." She said.
I gave her a fake, but to her satisfying smile.
Shopping didn't last long for me. I complained that my head hurt and I needed to rest. It worked because Christina told me to go back and sleep. I edged closer to my room, wondering if Tobias was still in the room. I twisted the door-knob and Tobias was still there, but he was shirtless. There were candles and rose petals laid out throughout the room. I could hear soft music playing in the back of the room.
"I'll be back." I say to him as I brush past him to get into the bathroom.
I striped my shirt off and my pants leaving me in a bra and underwear. Was this really happening? Was I really about to have sex with Tobias Eaton. I think I was. I walk back into the bedroom.
