After Ajax had filled us in on the plan, we decided to hang around until the party started. It would make no sense to drive fifteen minutes back to our side, only to come back hours later. I was sitting on the couch in the backroom with Raquan and Ajax. They were playing madden on the Xbox, something I wasn’t interested in. Personally, madden’s a cool game, but people take it too seriously. At the end of the day, madden 2005 will be the same as madden 2013.
Raquan sat up in his seat, twisting his fingers on the controls fiercely. Ajax was just as animated as my best friend. The score in the game was even, 21 to 21. I didn’t know who would win and didn’t care either.
“Oh shit bro!” Ajax exclaimed, standing on his feet. Raquan got up as well, looking more focused than he’s ever been. It can’t be that serious I thought to my self. That’s when I felt the presence of someone else. I glanced at the doorway and saw Zora enter the room. She had a plastic cup in hand, which was probably full of liquor.
Zora looked directly at me as she moved toward the couch. She took a seat next me, getting comfortable. I knew what the deal was by then.
“What you sippin’ on?” I asked, starting small talk.
“Some lean,” she told me, sounding extra cute.
“Girl you aint know nothin’ bout that lean,” I shot back. Zora gave me the ‘yea right’ look.
“Imm pro dude,” She lifted the cup to her mouth and took a long gulp. Once finished, she licked her thick lips. “I could teach you a few things,” she taunted.
“Oh word, ya’ll got some more?” I watched Zora nod her head and get up. She motioned me to follow her.
Zora led me to the kitchen walking to the fridge. “We got everything that’s anything round here,” Zora swung open the fridge door, grabbed a bottle of sprite that was refilled with something and handed it too me. “Try this, I made it myself.”
“What the hell is this shit?” I wondered, examining it.
“It’s ‘Boom’!” She exclaimed. I wasn’t impressed with the title and Zora could see that. “This is what you get when you mix beer, vodka, codeine and sprite. I call it boom.” Zora looked at me with a face of excitement. She eagerly waited for me to try it.
I sighed, not wanting too, but I had an impression to maintain with her. So I threw the bottle upside down and drunk up.
Six hours later, I was more intoxicated than been in my entire life. Ajax had invited some of his gang members and others over, and we were all hanging out in the back room. I was back on the couch with Zora sitting on my lap. Ajax and Raquan had almost smoked their selves to a coma. The party that Raquan and I were suppose to rob that guy at had already started, but that was one of the last things on my mind right now.
Ajax stumbled over to the CD player with a beer in hand. He turned to the next song, which was some hardcore metal rock that I’ve never heard before. I can’t say that I liked it, but when you’re as drunk as me it doesn’t matter. The beat to the music dropped and everybody expect Raquan and I started viscously bobbling their heads. I felt like we at a rock concert.
Zora grinded her butt on my groin as she got all the more excited. I leaned back in the seat, enjoying her lap dance. At this point, I had already exchanged numbers with her. So the chance of us having sex just doubled. I looked at Raquan who seemed to be adjusting just fine. There was a gothic looking black girl that he was talking to.
I was just starting to really enjoy myself when Ajax came over to me. “Yooo, you ready to make that move bro?” He asked me, breath reeking of beer.
“Yea man,” I said, sighing on the inside. “But where it at though?”
“Right up the street man, Z gon take you,” He told me, referring to Zora. A smirk grew on my face that I quickly removed.
“Word,” I replied. Ajax gulped down the rest of his beer and threw the can across the room. I leaned in closer to Zora, so my chest touched her upper back. “You ready?” I said in her ear. She turned her head and winked at me. I patted her on the butt, letting her know it was time to go.
Raquan was on the other side of the room with the girl he talked too all over him. I walked over to them, watching her kiss the side of his neck and face. The second Raquan saw me he knew what time it was. I saw the disappointment on his face when he unwilling moved the girl off him.
“Imma right back baby, gotta handle some business real quick,” Raquan told the female. She bit her lip looking sad.
“You promise?” she asked, giving him puppy dog eyes.
“Yea, imma be right back,” he repeated. I nudged him in the arm.
“Com’ on dog,” I urged. I couldn’t blame him for not wanting to leave though. I didn’t want to go myself.
The three of us left the tattoo parlor rather quickly. Zora led us to her car, where she got in the driver seat and sped off. She flew the down the street for about two blocks until we reached a two-story frat house that was dripping with life. There were students all over the place, some even stood in the road. By the looks of things, they were all stoned.
Zora parked her car across the street at a near by house. “Blake just hit me up, he’s about to meet our man right now,” she informed us.
“Where they at?” I asked, sitting up in the seat.
Zora opened the door to her car, stepping out. “I can show betta than tell you,” she said.
We followed her to the crowded house we two guys stopped us. Had Zora not been there, we probably wouldn’t have gotten in, but that wasn’t the case. She led us through a multitude of young adults who were beyond wasted. They played beer pong, played video games, and danced. I felt like I was in the movie American Pie.
We walked up a flight of stairs to the second floor. Zora stopped in the middle of the hall and pointed to a bedroom door on her left. I guess that’s the where they were at.
“Blake’s gonna be the one in the black,” She informed. I nodded my head, pulling my skull cap half way over my eyes. “Make it quick, I’ll keep people from comin’ in.”
“I got you,” I told her. Raquan pull the handgun from his pants and looked at me. We were both thinking the same thing; this was going to be a piece of cake.
