C-04: Receiving a call

"Good job, Amber! I knew you would win!", Patrick exclaimed as he was walking towards me. "En."- I answered and removed my helmet.

It's hot.

"Hey . . . ", I heard someone said it so I looked around and saw a tall asian guy walking closer towards us.

"Hey bro, nice job on getting that second place eh? Pftt. "- Patrick said with a smile and patted the guy's shoulder.

"Bro, f*ck off. I didn't know that there's a lady that would totally kick me out of my place. "- He said as he chuckles.

Who is he?

"By the way, My name is DK and you are?", he asked as he extended his hand. 'Oh, so he's DK. He's not actually bad. Wala pa 'kong na encounter na taong kayang makipag-sabayan sakin pag-dating sa racing dati.'

"Ambrosia."- I answered and took his hand for a handshake.

"Nice name. You were really amazing back there. I thought it would be another boring race, that was unexpected. "- He said and laughed. I just shrugged and removed the belt so I could get out of the car.

"Where's the receiving area?", I asked with a bored look. I need to see my new baby, fast.

"Pft. Going straight for the price? Let's go, I'll bring you there. "- Patrick said and held my hand. I nodded before looking at DK. "Nice to meet you."- I said and followed Patrick to get my new Bugatti.

"Did you have fun?"- A deep voice rang out of the dark house. Napahinto ako at napa-tingin sa likuran ko. "En."-sagot ko bago buksan ni Dad ang ilaw.

"Your brother called, he wants you there as soon as possible. "-sabi niya at ibinaba ang iniinom niyang beer. "Anak, I know that you don't want to return to that place ever since that night . . . But this time-- just this time. You mother needs you." He paused and I heard him sighed. I didn't say anything and continued on walking towards my room.

- Mark's P.O.V -

*riiiiiinggggsssss*

"Hmnnm. "

*rinngggsssssss*

"F*ck! Who the f*ck is it?!" I reached out to get my phone and answered the call with an annoyed tone.

"What?"-tanong ko at tsaka umupo mula sa kina-hihigaan ko. Napatingin ako sa orasan ko na mas lalo ko lang ikina-inis. Amp*ta! 3:20 am pa lang! Sinong g*gong tatawag ng ganitong oras!?

[ "Mark. " ]-rinig kong sabi ng babae sa kabilang linya. "Sino to?"-tanong ko.

[ "It's me, Gwyneth. " ]- sagot niya na nagpagising sa kaluluwa ko.

"Gwyneth? Oh? Ba't ka napatawag?"- tanong ko ulit. Tsk, nag-iba na ko ng number at lahat-lahat pero nalalaman pa din nila. Inis kong kinamot yung ulo ko.

["Mark, she's back."]-sabi niya na para ba'ng nag-iingat siya na walang makarinig sa kanya.

"Ha? Sino?"-gulong tanong ko. Minsan talaga nakakalito kausap 'tong magkapatid na 'to.

["Cypher."]

" . . . "

"What?"

"Pa'no mo nasabi?"

["We're not sure yet and that's why we need your help. "]

"Alright. Send me the video and some records. I'll do the rest. "- seryosong sabi ko.

[ "En. I'll send it now. " ]

Napakamot ako sa batok at pumunta na sa cr. Mukhang magiging mahaba 'tong araw na 'to. I should get me some coffee.
