Neira looked at the book that had just materialized on top of her hands.
Did I do this? She thought, not knowing what to think. In the distance she heard a loud bell ring. It was the Almost-Curfew Bell, meaning that she had 15 minutes before she had to go to sleep. As soon as the bell turned off, she looked at the book and got an idea.
"You know," she said, "I could really go for a glass of water." Neira thought really hard about a glass of water, and a red cup began to form in her hands. The same, sparkling silk sprouted out of her palm, sending itself into a spiraling shape. Red glittered off of the forming cup as it hardened and became a solid. She heard a sloshing noise and looked inside the cup, noticing it was now filled with water. Neira nervously brought the cup up to her lips and drank.
"Yum!" She squealed in joy, "this tastes better than regular water!" As soon as she said that, she guzzled the whole thing down her throat, the cool liquid swiftly guiding itself down. Once she had finished, the cup glowed, the radiating red reflected off of Neira sandy colored hair. The cup began to cave in on itself and imploded into a little bomb of glittery dust. Neira at first was confused at what just happened, but assumed that once the item had served its purpose, it disposed of itself. She looked back at her bed, relieved that the book was still there. Neira figured that it hadn't lost its purpose yet, so it would be there for quite a while.
"What's inside your mysterious, illegal pages?" Neira whispered, making sure that no one could over hear her. She lifted the cover gently, finding a crisp, white piece of paper. She flipped to the next page, confused, and realized that that the next page was blank to. She began to flip each page, white passing by every time. Neira heard a loud bang, and broke from her frightened daze, seeing that she had just slammed the cover.
Why is it empty!? She thought, and after a minute of thinking she guessed what might have been wrong.
All I said was I wanted a book! I didn't specify! She began to imagine the book she wanted to read, and in return the Crimson book began to glow. The book flipped open, the pages flying out of the book and into the open air, spinning into a large, circular formation. A little stream of red liquid, which to Neira's relief wasn't blood, began to spew from her fingers into a large floating blob in the middle of the white tornado. Once the floating blob was big enough, it exploded right before Neira's eyes. Little droplets fell on to each piece of paper, each going into a specific spot. Once all of them had finished, the pages where filled with glistening, red letters. The pages magically pulled themselves into order and back into the book. Once all the pages had shuffled in, the cover slammed shut and the title formed in big, shimmering letters. Right as Neira was about to open it though, the Curfew Bell began to ring and all her lights went out. She had to find a place to hide it before she got in trouble. Neira grabbed the book and hid it underneath a pair of boots still in their box. Luckily, the boots were brand new, so they weren't dirty. Neira quickly placed the black boots away and jumped into bed. In a few minutes later she was asleep. In her dreams, the swirling, red words on the title danced in her dreams; Sleeping Beauty.

"Come on, Neira!" Yuni yelled, "We are going to miss class!"
"I'm coming!" Neira said, rushing up the steps of Isuno School. The big, white buildings of Isuno loomed over Neira as she ran through the doors.
"We might be able to make it," Yuni panted, "and not receive a Breach!" They pivoted to the right and ran through another hallway, until stopping right in front of their classroom door.
Yuni opened the door wide; "Ladies first!"
"Well thank you very much!" Neira replied cheerfully as she walked through. Their were 18 other kids in the classroom, and unsurprisingly they were all watching Yuni and Neira. The two of them took their seats in the back of the room and took out their hovergrams. As soon as they placed them on the desk, the bell rung and the teacher entered the classroom. Class was boring today; the teacher was talking about the history of Yokohashi. Neira already knew most of the history, so she looked at new messages on her hovergram. As the teacher began to move on and talk about the history of NutriPacks, she scrolled past all the messages about school, but there was one message that stuck out to her.
