"Marco. Stop crying." Nyra willed softly, hugging her brother to her. Mei, Connie and Sasha walked behind her, while Jean stayed at her side. She had nothing to take care of a baby, nor did she really know how. But, for now, holding the small bundle close and humming softly was doing it. Held in his sisters arms, Marco soon began to drift off.
"Poor little guy. At least he's got you with him." Mei said, looking up.
"I don't know if I'm an improvement to live with always running around in the Recon Corps."
"I'm sure that they'll keep a good watch on him. Maybe they'll excuse you some amount of time to see him." Connie reassured.
"They aren't that cruel." Sasha smiled.
As her words were Spoke, Levi, Erwin and Hanji appeared with Annie, hands tied behind her back, and a defiant look on her face. Nyra paused, as Levi pushed her forwards. "Your friendhere tried to attack us." Levi informed Nyra calmly, though he was clearly ready to kill the blonde. Nyra looked over at Annie, who made eye contact with her friend. "Annie," Nyra sighed, the light leaving her eyes, turning them dull. "Why'd you do it?" the tiny girl asked. Annie thought for a moment, now looking away from Nyra. She didn't answer however. Nyra chewed on her lip, the light coming back to her eyes, but now in rage. Jean was quick to take Marco from the enraged girl. The surrounding group of soldiers stepped back, as Nyra's hand balled into a fist. In a second, that fist collided wit Annie's cheek, while Nyra wrapped her left leg around Annie's right leg, roughly pulling her leg back, and sending the blonde crashing to the floor. Nyra turned back to Annie. "Annie! Why'd you do it?!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. People had both run off, or came to watch the fight unfold. Though Annie couldn't provide an answer, she spoke up. "I have to go now, Nyra." Annie said quietly. Nyra's hand unballed, as she did a quick check to make sure Annie had nothing to harm herself with. "How are you going to leave?" Nyra hissed. "They're here." Annie informed.
Erwin's eyes widened. "Hanji, Levi, on the walls, now!" Erwin yelled. The trio of superiors left, leaving the recruits on the ground. "Nyra! We should go get our gear!" Jean yelled. Nyra looked between the group, then to Annie, biting her lip. She looked down to Marco, who held his hands out, waiting for his sister to hold onto him. She looked back to Annie, who had broken the ropes. "Nyra. We have to go." Annie coaxed. Nyra's breath hitched in her throat. "Annie..."
"You're kidding me, right, Nyra?" Jean suddenly harped. Nyra looked over to him. Mei, Sasha and Connie looked hopeful that she'd come with them. Nyra turned back to Annie, sliding to stand beside Annie. Jean began to grit his teeth. Mei, though upset, stepped forwards and grabbed Marco. As Jean opened his mouth to speak, Nyra stabbed Annie in the back from a knife she had hidden in her clothing. The blonde screamed, falling over to the ground. Nyra looked down at her, eyes dead. No bright gleam, they were as dull as a worn-out jewel. "Annie... Go away." Nyra murmured. Annie looked up, gritting her teeth in pain. "Nyra..."
"You're worthless. Get out of here. Killing you is a waste of my time." Nyra sighed. Annie pulled the knife out of her back with a pained grunt. "Nyra... I'll bring them back to you." Annie murmured. Nyra shook her head. "There's no way you could bring them back." Nyra said. Annie locked her eyes onto her old best friend, as she stood. Annie stood, before stumbling away. Nyra closed her eyes, and, when she heard the explosion, scream, and the pounding of multiple feet, Nyra knew they were gone.
Eren and Mikasa came down just a few minutes afterwards. Nyra pulled Marco from Mei's grip without a word. "Why is there blood on the ground?" Eren asked. Mikasa looked to Marco and Nyra. "Who's that?" Mikasa asked. Nyra just shoved through them, running off. They all turned to Jean. "She stabbed Annie and let her go. The kid is her little brother, Marco." Jean sighed, watching her run off. Eren looked over at Sasha, Mei and Connie. "She really stabbed her?"
"Right inthe back. Just like Annie did to her. Although, Nyra literally did it." Sasha said. Mikasa shook her head. "She'll die from being rash if Annie keeps this up." Mikasa said quietly. Jean, upon hearing these words, was quick to run off. He knew where Nyra would be hiding.

"Nyra." Jean said, knocking on the door where Nyra's old home was. He could hear crying from the other side of the door. "Nyra. C'mon. Come out. Let's talk. Please." Jean said gently, looking down at his feet. He turned as he heard footsteps, turning to see Levi. "Jean Kirschtein. I'm giving you and Nyra a year off. They told me. Get her out of there. If there's a titan threat in that year, well, I'll ask for your assitance." Levi said. Jean nodded with a sigh. "Thank you, Heichou." Jean mumbled. Levi gave him a pat on the shoulder, before turning and propelling away from the male.
Jean sighed, putting his back to the wall. "I won't leave you here, Nyra. I promised you a long, long time ago that I wouldn't leave you. I love you, Anneliese Moreau."
