James' P.O.V
Staring at the back of Eliza's head was making me think about other things and how she made me feel and all of the happy things that I knew of.
"Where are you going?" Her voice sounded a little raspy, because she had just woken up. She pulled the covers up to her collarbone.
"To the kitchen. I thought you would be hungry." I told her.
"I'm not. Stay with me." She said. She looked so innocent at that moment. Then I heard a growling noise. That had to be her stomach. I chuckled.
"Tell you what. We can cook together in the kitchen. How does that sound?" My offer seemed pretty hard to refuse. She nodded and got up from the bed.
"I'm going to cook food? Me? Cook food?" Her left eyebrow raised up while the other one stayed down.
"Yes. I'll teach you how to." I told her.
"Okay then." she got up and walked over to me. I took her hand and pulled her close to me. I wrapped her hands around my neck and placed my own hands on her waist. Her brown eyes looked into mine. I smiled and slowly leaned in to kiss her. The whole day was a great memory. Eliza seemed just like she was made just for me. Then our picture perfect moment was rudely disturbed by the sound of a cell phone ringing. I started to pull away but she pulled me right back.
"It's only you and I today. Everybody else can wait." She mumbled. But the phone would not stop ringing so she had to answer it.
"Hello?..... No dad. I went to Aria's house....... No I didn't eat breakfast yet.....Okay dad. See ya later." She hung up the phone. Her face was mixed with different emotions. I cupped her face in my hands.
"What's wrong beautiful?"
"My dad wants me to eat breakfast first and then come home. I told him that I was at my friend's house."
"Oh. Well... lets get to cooking!" I cheerily told her. I took her hand and guided her to the kitchen.
"What're we making?" She asked.
"It depends. What do you want?"
"Hm... how about some scrabbled eggs and bacon?" She twirled a strand of hair around her finger. Which was unbelievably cute. It was something that she did a lot. I didn't think that she knew consciously that she did it.
"Okay! Can you get out a pan for me while I get the ingredients" I asked. She nodded. The pan was on top of the burner after I had closed the fridge.
"Thank you my lovely assistant." She smiled.
"You're welcome my handsome boss. What do I need to do now?"
"Can you get me some butter? I will reward you kindly." I could tell that this pleased her. I watched her walk over to the fridge and waited until her back was facing me. Then I walked up to her and wrapped my arms around her waist. She gasped as she looked back at my face. I nuzzled my face into her neck and took the stick of butter from her hands. My lips skimmed the soft skin of her neck.
"You're driving me crazy James...." She trailed off. Her breathing was shaky and I could feel her heart beating.
"I'm glad that I am." I said as I pulled away.
"I thought that we were gonna make food. Not cuddle." Eliza said. I smirked at her.
"I have an extremely beautiful girl in my kitchen. And she's got nothing but an over-sized t-shirt on. I'm not going to just cook. I'm going to cuddle with her too." I told her. She blushed and I kissed her red cheek.
"Now let us cook ze food!" I exclaimed. I took out three eggs and mixed them together. Then I poured them into the pan. I could practically feel Eliza's eyes staring at me. She suddenly poked my arm. I looked at her. She was staring at the warped, shiny spot of skin on my arm. It was the brand mark of my gang. All gang members had to have the symbol branded on their arms. If they didn't have the symbol, it meant that they were of a higher rank. She looked at me questioningly. So I made up some silly lie.
"Uh...my parents did that. They weren't mentally stable. I said. Truth is, my dad wasn't mentally sane. He had schiztchophrenia. Eliza nodded and bit her lip.
"I think I've seen that symbol somehwere though. On the eleven o'clock news or whatever. Were your parents in a gang?" She asked. Uh-oh! She was gonna find out!
"Uh... no. They were just very interested in gang activity. Well more like obsessed. My dad was a cop so he was always around criminals and gangs. My mom was just my mom. They weren't good parents." She looks up at me and stretches up onto her tippy toes. I bent down to help me a little. She kissed me on the forehead.
"I'm so sorry. But I just want you to know, I'm here." She whispered. There was nothing stopping me from kissing her right now and I really needed to. I leaned in and kissed her in the most passionate way that I could. I dropped my spatula on the wood counter. Her mouth parted slightly and I gently slipped my tongue in. She moaned. I picked her up and sat her down on the counter. Her hands were like the warm version of the sun on the back of my neck. Before I knew it, the kiss was over and we pulled away from each other reluctantly. She smiled at me sadly. "What's wrong gorgeous?" I asked. I could feel myself frown.
"Look at the clock." She casually said. So I looked. 9:45 AM.
"You've got to go soon huh?"
"Sadly..." She trailed off. She patted me on the head. I chuckled and picked her up by the waist. Then I put her back down on the ground.
We finished cooking and the bacon tasted great (What bacon wouldn't taste great?) but the eggs were burned. Our little "Makeout scene" had lasted longer than I had thought it did. Eliza looked at me and smiled.
"I just realized that you have a dimple on the side of you cheek." I told her.
"Nobody knows but my dad and you." she said, "you usually can't see it unless I smile really big. And normally nobody makes me smile that much." I felt special to be one ofthe people that has seen it. It made me feel that much closer to her.
"So I was thinking. Why don't you just tell your dad that you and your friend decided to go shopping?Tell him that you'll come back at 2 o'clock and I'll take you someplace nice. Is it a deal?" I suggested.
"That's a great idea! But I have no clothes." She frowned.
"Just wear the ones that you came here with and then we'll buy you some new ones. I'll keep the new clothes here so that when you come here you'll have clothes to wear. And yes, you WILL be coming back here." I told her. She got up and bent down to kiss me on the cheek.
"I love you!" She said. Eliza walked out of the kitchen and into the bathroom.
I know... I mumbled.
