The plane still hasn't take off yet, the other two Selected girls still weren't done with their ceremonies yet. So I sit, looking out the window at the home I know I won't miss.
What happens when I get eliminated and sent back home? Where will I go?
I sigh, I guess that's up to Prince Adrian.
After a few minutes, a girl boards the plane. She has medium length dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and a big, kind smile.

      "Hi! I'm Marley

"Hi! I'm Marley." She walks towards me. I smile shyly as I get up. If all the girls look like this, how am I gonna even stand a chance?
"Hi! I'm Arabella. Nice to meet you." I stick my hand out for her to shake, but she shocks me by pulling me into a friendly hug. I laugh in shock and hug her back before pulling away. I think we're going to be friends.
We talk for almost an hour when the other Selected girl shows up. She's beautiful. She has long dark hair, cold, brown eyes, no smile, and a perfect figure. She walks confidently, trying to scare us. It works on Marley. I can hear her mutter an 'oh no' under her breath when she walked in. I'm not scared. Girls like her are spoiled brats that think they deserve everything. I know I'm not going to like her.
"Come on, what are we waiting for. Let's go. I want to see my soon-to-be husband." She says, sitting down, smirking confidently.
"You. We were waiting for you. And if this is how you're going to act, I don't think you could get a husband at all." I say the words before thinking them through. I shouldn't of said that, I don't want to make any enemies. Jessica, I remember her name from the letter I got, turns to me, giving me a death glare. Uh oh.
"What did you just say to me?" She says, snootily. I just roll my eyes.
"Well it's not my fault that you act like such a brat and took almost two hours to get here." I can't stand girls like her, they're all Barbie's, all looks and no brains.
Jessica's eyes narrow as she glares at me. She doesn't say anything though, just turns in her seat to look out the window, pouting.
I turn back to Marley, who is staring at me, eyes wide. I just smile and shrug, she laughs.
"That was awesome! I can't believe you did that!" She exclaims. I laugh and shake my head.
"She needed to hear it. I've dealt with plenty of girls just like her. I got sick of them years ago." Marley nods in agreement.
"I know just how you feel. She acts like she's already been proposed to and is just waiting for the crown." I nod, rolling my eyes.

The flight takes about two hours and Marley and I talk the entire time. We talked about our lives, I didn't say much about mine, our favorite foods, movies, snacks, hobbies, and books.
When we land, I look out the window to see thousands of people, waiting. My eyes widen when I see signs with my name on them. There are also a lot with Marley's name and a few with Jessica's. I look at Marley, who's amazing as I am, and back to the window.
Jessica gets up and walks to the door, waiting for it to be opened. I roll my eyes, of course she'd want to be the first out. The door opens and she put on a winning smile, waving to the cheering crowd. She walks out and starts the journey to the car at the end of the street.
Marley takes a deep breath and walks out after her, smiling and waving, and the crowd gets much louder. Marley is gonna be a favorite. After she's gone, I walk to the door. As soon as the crowd sees me, they go wild. The cheering and screaming is much louder than before. The smile on my face is huge and I can't believe that this is actually happening. I start waving and my name is screamed from several directions. I start walking down the road, often stopping to talk to someone in the crowd or sign an autograph or take a picture. I'm almost to the car when I hear my name being yelled by a small voice. I look around until I find a little girl standing there, smiling at me. I walk over to her and kneel down in front of her.
"Hi there. What's your name?" I ask, smiling at her.
"My names Annie." She says in a high pitched voice. She's adorable. She has flaming red hair and adorable brown eyes. She reminds me of myself when I was a kid.
"Nice to meet you Annie." I smile at her and she squeals. I laugh.
"I can't believe I'm actually meeting you. I hope you win. You're so pretty!" I smile.
"I can't believe I'm meeting you. I'm so happy I could. And you're so much prettier than I am," I reach up and take one of the flowers in my hair. "Here, you take this to remember today. It would look so pretty on you." I reach out and tuck the flower in Annie's hair. It looks amazing on her. Her smile widens.
"Thank you so much! I will always keep this!" I smile again, this girl makes me smile a lot.
"Well, I've got to go. Don't want to keep the castle waiting." I start to stand up when Annie jumps into my arms, hugging me. I stand up with her and hug her back. She's so cute.
"I'll always remember you, Annie." I whisper to her and set her down next to her father, who smiles kindly at me. I smile back and wave at Annie knew more time, before walking to the car.
The smile is still on my face when we start moving and begin our journey to the castle. Jessica glares at me while Marley smiles. I ignore Jessica and smile at Marley.
We reach the castle and my jaw drops in amazement. It's beautiful! The big stone walls reach up to the sky, beautiful balconies and window adorning it. There are huge, wooden doors at the front and they are open, waiting for us to walk in. We exit the car and are ushered inside. We don't have time to look around, as we are quickly ushered into a big, busy room. Stylists are running around, yelling orders for people, designers are getting girls their dresses and a lady is directing them all. She sees us and immediately starts yelling again.
"They're here! Take Lady Marley to station 6, Lady Jessica to station 10, and Lady Arabella to station 7! Hurry!" Stylists run over to us and direct us to our seats. When I'm seated, my stylist looks me over.
"What kind of look do you want to go for here?" I raise an eyebrow. Look? I don't want to have a look, I just want to be me.
"I don't want a look. I want to look like me." The stylist smiles, nodding.
"You're different than all the other girls, I like that. You it is. But I do want to cut your hair, you have a ton of dead ends and I think you would look great with layers." I think about it, and nod my head.
"Ok. But don't make it too much shorter than it already is." She smiles and gets to work.
I close my eyes and wait for her to finish my hair. She finishes a couple minutes later and asks about my makeup.
"I just want it natural." She nods and gets to work again. She puts eyeliner, mascara, a little bit of blush, and a light pink lipstick on me. She turns me to the mirror and I gasp. I still look like me, but I look so much better.
"I love it! Thank you." She smiles and nods her head in acknowledgement.
After I'm done with that, a designer comes and takes me to a separate room. Inside is a rack of beautiful dresses.
"Here are some of the dresses your maids made for you. You have more in your room. Pick one and I'll help you get dressed. I nod and walk to the rack, looking through the dresses. I pick a cute, strapless, forest green day dress that goes to my knees. The designer helps me put it on and I look at myself in the mirror. I actually look really good. I still look like me, but my best features are enhanced. My brown eyes stand out on my face and my lips look fuller.
"I love it. Thank you for the help." I smile and she smiles back.
I leave the room and find the lady directing everyone. She sees me and walks over quickly.
"Ok, you're done. I'll get someone to take you to your room." She calls a maid over and she escorts me out of the room.
My room is on the second floor at the end of the hallway. I learned that Marley is in the room next to me. The maid leaves and I walk to my door. I slowly open the room to see three young women there, frantically cleaning an already spotless room. They see me and all gasp, rushing over to stand in front of me.
"Good evening, miss. I'm your head maid, Ariel, this is Jackie, and Ariana. We are here to help you with anything and everything you need." Ariel smiles. She looks like she's 15, she has brown hair swept up into a cap, blue eyes and a friendly smile. Jackie looks even younger than Ariel, about 13 or 14, with blonde hair also swept up into a cap, green eyes, and a shy smile. Ariana looks about 11, with black hair braided down her back, hazel eyes and is looking at me nervously. Why would she be nervous to meet me? To put her at ease I smile kindly at her and wave. She relaxes and waves back, smiling.
"Nice to meet you all. Please, call me Ara. I don't know if I'll need much help, but I will make sure to let you know if I do." They smile and nod. I look outside and see that it's already dark. It's been a long day, and I want to go to sleep. I turn to Ariel, Jackie, and Ariana.
"I want to go to sleep. Can you help me get out of this dress?" They all rush over and start preparing me for bed. They take the dress off and put me in a silk nightgown, they wash the makeup off my face and braid my hair down my back. It felt nice having someone take care of me. I haven't had it for so long. After they're done, I go to my bed and sit down. I sigh at the softness and lay down. I look around and find that my maids are still here.
"You can go, I'm sure you want to go to sleep too." They look at me, confused.
"We're supposed to stay here to watch after you, in case you need anything in the night." I raise my eyebrows in shock. Do they not sleep at all?
"I won't need anything, I'm sure. You can go to bed and wake up early to help me get ready. I'll call you if I need anything." Ariel smiles, understanding. I think she's starting to get me. I wouldn't be able to sleep if I knew someone was watching me. They exit the room and I lay back down, thinking about my day. This is sure going to be one crazy experience. My eyes start to feel heavy and I start sinking into sleep. The last thought that enters my mind is the boy from the diner. I'm never going to get to see him again.
I can't think anything else before I close my eyes. The Selection has officially begun.
