I woke up to see Will leaning over me. "You're awake!" He said, seemingly overjoyed. "Yes," I said, "and now I must leave." With that, I rose from the bed, adjusted my cloak and walked out of the infirmary. I only made it a couple of steps before a sharp, shooting pain stabbed my stomach. I keeled over and moaned in pain and misery as a vision of Dusk and Dawn standing in Greece with spikes protruding from their stomachs flashed through my mind. As suddenly as it had arrived, the pain dissipated and I rose from the ground, dusting dirt off of my knees. A shiver ran down my spine and I started sprinting towards my cabin, and, more importantly, towards Shadow. Travis appeared in front of me and I phased through him, determined to reach the other Angels before they did. The son of Hermes let out a loud, girly shriek, which I ignored. Once I reached the cabin, I let out a high pitched whistle and tapped my foot impatiently as I waited for Shadow to arrive. She bounded towards me and I latched onto her fur, teleporting us to the the island.
I arrived in time to see a horrific massacre. Silver, Gold and Hope lying dead on the ground, their wings ripped off and thrown in a pile. Stella and Crimson were valiantly trying to hold back a vile beast and prevent it from reaching mamma, who was holding a blood soaked cloth to Halo's shredded torso. I drew my sword and yelled at Stella and Crimson to pick up Halo and run into the forest, where they could better protect her. I charged the creature and began a vicious fight to the death. I managed to sever one of its horns and put a deep cut in its left leg. But despite my prowess at combat, it managed to to dig its razor sharp talons into my sword arm and tear a long gash, making me drop my sword. I decided I would have to resort to using my powers.
Summoning an orb of dark magic, I rose into the air and began hurling the orbs at the hideous creature. It growled and launched itself at me. I smashed a shadow hammer into the monster's nose and followed up by stabbing at its face, blinding it in one eye. I began to blast it with fire, before firing shards of stone at it. The beast put up a good fight but went down. Thinking it was unconscious, I walked forward to deal the killing blow, when it sprung up and slashed my stomach to ribbons. I collapsed, calling upon Shadow to rip the creature's head off, and clutching my stomach to hold in my organs. I gasped and my wings fluttered weakly. "I have to get to Will." I whispered to Shadow, coughing up blood. She grabbed me in her mouth and I remember hearing Will cry out in alarm before passing out.
