Caine's POV:
Mrs. Blueberry is talking nonstop an my head is spinning. It sucks to be two years older than her. That means we don't have any classes together while Tate probably have several, not that she would want to be near me anyway. I could maybe find her at lunch and talk to her. She needs to know that I'm sorry. Maybe it's best like this. At least she's staying away from me. As the bell goes off I hurry towards the cafeteria.
After waiting here for fifteen minutes she still hasn't showed. I spot Tate on the outside and I can feel my anger coming back. He is standing together with three of his fiends smoking something that has to be stronger that just a normal cigarette. "Smoking pot at school? You're even dumber than you look" I say approaching him and his friends. He just looks at me with red lazy eyes. Fucking idiot is getting high at school. "Where is she?" He drop the cigarette on the ground and kills it with his shoe. "She went home, wasn't feeling well" for some sick reason he smiles. Probably because I'm gaping. "And you didn't go with her?" this shouldn't surprise me at all, but it still does. "No, why would I?" I swear to God I will kill him. "You're just like your father!" I shout in his face giving him a hard push. He stumbles backwards until he hits the wall behind him. He doesn't have a chance against me and he knows it. He stays close to the wall and I decide to not start a fight. I would like to finish my senior year without getting expelled. I decide to skip the rest of the day to make sure she's alright. I don't even know why I'm doing this to be honest. All of this. Running after her, wanting her to like me so bad and just giving a crap about Tate… I probably should since he's… no that doesn't mean anything.
I arrive at her house fifteen minutes later. Walking up to her door I'm still not sure what to say. Hell I don't even know why I'm here. Should I nock? I decide to knock, but when no one opens the door I try to open it. It's locked. I try knocking a few more times a little harder. "I'm not home!" I hear her call from inside. "C'mon Kathrine! I need to talk to you" I shout back. When she still doesn't open I put my hand in the pocket to look for something to open the door with. I always keep a few bobby pins in there in case someone decides to lock me out. Of course I wouldn't use it unless I had to… I think? I jiggle the door open and walk in. I find her in the living room. I lean up against the doorframe and she turn her head around. "You obviously don't know how to stay away from someone? And I thought the door was locked?" I show her the broken bobby pin and her eye go wide "Did you… you've done that before?" I smirk "a few times".
Kathrine's POV:
He smirks "a few times" he fucking jiggled my lock! "What do you want?" I turn my attention back to some boring runway show on the TV. "I didn't see you at…" "Oh so you came to check on me? How sweet of you… well as you can see I'm fine. Now leave" I interrupt. I'm getting tired of this bullshit. Why do he care anyway? If he like me or anything he can go to hell. I have Tate and there is nothing he can do to change that. "You don't seem fine" Did he just. Accuse me of lying? "Are you calling me a liar?" I turn my face to look at him again. He is still leaning against the doorframe. "No… well actually I am" I sight "I'm not lying" I lie. I am a little bit upset. When we arrived at school today Tate started acting weird.
He slapped my bum and kissed me all the time while walking down the hallways. I like kissing him, but did he have to do it in front of everybody and every second? Then Tate told me he couldn't spend lunch break with me and that he probably would go home after lunch. When I ask why he just said it wasn't any of my business. It's like he's shutting me out. My thoughts get interrupted as I hear a faint laugh. "What the fuck is so funny?" I snap at him. "Your frown… It's cute". My mind is going crazy thinking of ways to get rid of him… again. Why do I always want him out? Why do I even ask myself that question? Of course I want him out. He's dangerous with weapons and drugs. And he looks scary… or just mysterious, and a little bit handsome. What? No!
