Hey all, I'm sorry it has been a while since the last note, a lot of things have happened. If you didn't read the previous notes Elise got deployed several months ago and then her unit was ambushed on a mission. Elise, along with a few others, were wounded. We had no idea how serious her injuries were until we received word that she had such an extensive leg wound that she had to have her leg amputated. Her other injuries are healing well, she had some shrapnal wounds but those are mostly healed. She has taken the amputation very very well and is in better spirits now that she was able to come back to the US and her little girls visited her in the rehab center. They visit her every day and keep her entertained and happy. She missed her girls so much overseas and is just thankful to be able to see her babies again. Please just keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers as she goes through rehab and learns to use her prosthetic leg.
