We all ran up the forest path, wanting to figure out the mystery of where our powers were. Arashi and Kasumi went full sonic speed up the steep trail while Diamond, Kiki and I lagged behind. We finally reached the house of the green ninja. It was a very small house, even a little smaller than the hub. I opened the door to the house. It creaked as it opened. We all walked in. The living room was way cleaner than the hub. All the dishes were put away neatly, the beds were made, and the floors and kitchen counters were sparkly clean. Of course, Lloyd was on his bed reading a book. Not surprised, Lloyd is usually reading, drawing a picture or training. He looked up, "Oh hi guys. What's up?"
"Our powers are gone!" Kiki cried.
"Oh that's terrible!" Lloyd agreed.
"We were wondering if you still have yours." Arashi summed up.
"I hope I do. Come outside with me, and I'll see what I can do." We all headed outside to the front entrance of the house. Lloyd summoned his ninja power. He bend his knees really low, and with one swift motion he jumped onto the roof of his house. Even though his house is small, the roof was about seven feet high, and no natural human could jump that high. Lloyd had his power. That was good. He gracefully flew back down. "When I reached for my power, I had a vision of this man, and he was reaching for my power, but his extended arm was just short of it." Lloyd told us.
"Kaotic." Kasumi explained.
"Oh that evil person you were working for." Lloyd wondered.
"I didn't know that he was on the bad side." Kasumi defended.
"He took our power." Diamond said "I also worked for him. And he tried to take Lloyd's power too."
"Yeah. We have to stop him." Kasumi told us. "I don't know how, but he finally got our power. Kaotic has been working on that for years. I should have stopped him when I could."
"Well now he is way too powerful to stop." Diamond said.
"Unless..." Lloyd pondered.
"What?" Diamond asked.
"Unless..."
"What?"
"Unless I-"
"What? Oh sorry were you about to actually say something?"
Lloyd nodded. "Unless I could find Cole, Jay, and Kai."
"They're still alive?" I asked.
"Ku, it's only been five years since we've seen them." Arashi retorted.
"Oh sorry ever since the battle, these five years have seemed like an eternity." I apologized.
"Do you know where they have been all this time?" Arashi pried.
"Yeah I might have known."
"You did!" Arashi exploded.
"They have been hiding the Mount Akaishi. They are training there." Lloyd explained.
"Why didn't you go to them? You could have been training with them." Kiki asked.
"They needed one Ninja to stay with the five of you. I was up to the job."
"Why didn't we all come to train at Mount Akaishi?"
"Well, that mountain is super dangerous, and it is also a perfect entrance for darkness to enter all of these towns, and kill everyone. The ninjas thought it would be too much to protect the five of you and have to fight off the chaos."
"That's what you have been doing to us the whole time? Protecting US?" Kiki exploded.
"Well not exactly." Lloyd covered. "Ok maybe exactly."
"Right when I thought I was actually helping with this war." I shouted.
"Well Lloyd, whether you like it or not, you are going to help us find our power."
"Ok, ok I'll help you with that." Lloyd gave in. "But who could have stolen your power?"
"Maybe it was the scary man in your vision." Kasumi pondered. "No it couldn't have been the evil person that I used to work with. The one who wanted to steal our power in the first place." Kasumi said with a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
"Do you know where he lives?" Lloyd questioned.
"Yup." Kasumi and Diamond both answered at the same time.
"But Kasumi, don't you think that Kaotic would be in his hideout by now. Not his giant fortress." Diamond asked.
"Yeah that's a good prediction."
"So do we have a quest?" Lloyd asked. "Yes!!!" We all replied enthusiastically.
We all put our hands on top of each other in a big huddle. "Ninja ninja ninja GO!" We all cheer. We all are so connected to each other. We are like one big family. Maybe this quest will be easier than I thought...I was wrong.
