The sun shines on my face, and appears as a warm yellowish tint on my closed eyelids. Robins sing their wondrous songs in the woods close to our village. Being as smart as I am I finally decide that it's morning. I sat up, and was reminded that I was still safe in the hub. The hub is basically a very small house that I share with my friends. I met them about five years ago when I decided to show up and save the world with them. Since I have magical powers as well, we all work pretty well together. Our house is basically one room besides the bathroom. There are five beds for Diamond, Arashi, Kiki, Kasumi, and myself. We have a small kitchen of a stove, a pot, a pan, a sink, and a refrigerator. The living area has a large wooden round table with five chairs around it. We also have one grimy bathroom, but I've got to be grateful for what I have.
Diamond was already awake. She is 16 years old, but really she's acually 21. Ever since we found that stone of immortality on our way to save the world, I don't have to keep track of everyone's age anymore. Diamond is so tall! I always have to crane my neck to talk to her. Her long brown hair drops down to her butt. She turned around, and her piercing green eyes noticed me.
"Oh I didn't know that you were up, Ku." Diamond said in a slight British accent. I peered over at her, and saw that she was making a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and has browns all from our village's farm on the edge of the town. "One egg or two?" Diamond asked.
"Just one." I answered. My stomach really started acting weird ever since I woke up, so I figured only one egg would stay down. Arashi woke up next, her eyes were half closed, leaving a sliver of gray to see.
"Hi Ku" she mumbled in a grimy voice. "I couldn't go to sleep last night. I am so tired." Arashi bent over to tie her long brown hair in a ponytail. Her bangs framed her face, and her long mint curl bounced playful besides her right ear. Even in a ponytail, her hair still reached her lower back. "Two eggs please." Arashi told Diamond. Kiki sprang up from her bed at full speed. She got dressed in the blink of an eye, and her dirty blond hair was brushed and tied back in a ponytail."Let's go play some volleyball!" Kiki exclaimed.
"Ughhhh" everyone groaned.
I told Kiki that volleyball isn't the most popular thing in our village, and that she should play a sport that everyone likes like Pokemon Go. Kasumi, as always, is the last one to get up. She looked so peaceful sleeping, but when she is awake she can be murderous. Her left arm is mechanical from getting wounded in battle. She always wears a side ponytail, and she was still sleeping in it. "Breakfast, breakfast, breakfast!" Diamond yelled banging a spoon on our one good pan. Kasumi's eye snapped open. "Why don't you wake me up nicely Diamond?"
"Because you weren't getting up! You could have woken before breakfast."
"Well I need my beauty sleep."
"Are you sure about that?" Diamond asked. Kasumi clenched her teeth not wanting to say anymore. She rolled out of bed and sat at the round wooden table with us. I was wanting to eat all morning, mostly because the smell of food cooking was so luring. I ate, and my stomach held almost everything down. The meal was good, and I talked to the other four of what our day would be like, before taking my plate to the sink. After everyone finished breakfast, we started training. Why do they train? I don't know Arashi always says that if there is good in the world, then some where there has to be bad. So basically, we train, and wait for something bad to happen. Sometimes we train our physical abilities, and sometimes our powers. Kasumi and Arashi have been training to run for along time, and now they are super fast.
We all ran deep into the forest, and started training there. Diamond started shooting magic at a random tree. Arashi made a thunder storm, and then she struck lightning at a large house on the edge of another village. We all stared at her like she was crazy. But Arashi just shrugged, and said "I never liked those people anyway, that little boy was always really bossy."
"Arashi the green ninja lives right next door!" I exclaimed. "Whoops!" Arashi replied. The green ninja is more powerful than all of us, and we all try to protect him from Kaotic by staying in a random town. But it's hard to protect him, when Arashi is accidentally throwing random lightning bolts at his house. Of course, since Lloyd is the green ninja, he could defend himself from Kaotic. But it's nice when Kaotic doesn't know where we all live.
Kiki destroyed a patch of grass and dirt, and she made a huge pit big enough for a pond. I reached inside of me, and my chest grew warm. Then my fingertips felt water surging through them. I inhaled, and shot gallons of water out of my bare hands. I aimed it at the ditch that Kiki made, and it all gushed in like a waterfall. "That was a perfectly good ditch, but now you ruined it!" Kiki yelled.
"It's not a ditch Kiki, it's a pond!" Right as I said that, I felt koi fish swimming inside of me, and ten beautiful koi fish, plopped into the pond.
"Urrgh" Kiki stormed away, but then turned back to our pond. All ten koi disappeared. Kiki destroyed them. That got me mad. I threw a water tsunami at her, but she destroyed it. Kiki cut down a tree, but just as I noticed it topple on me I ran out of the way. I created a giant stone fortress around her, but of course, Kiki destroyed it. Kiki destroyed the ground beneath me, and I was left in an unclimbable pit. I wasn't going to die in a pit today. I felt the dirt beneath me, and created more under my feet pushing me up to surface. I felt fire crackle inside of me, and I absorbed it with everything I had. I let it bunch up in my hands, and a single flame lit the moist grass, and blew out faster than it appeared. Kiki bursted in a mocking laughter. Diamond, Akashi and Kasumi had been watching our fight this whole time, and they applauded me. I bowed for my audience, but then wondered why my power didn't work that time. I tried to replace the koi fish in the pond. Five swam inside of me, but when I tried to push them out nothing happened. "Kiki are you blocking my power?"
"I wish. If I could do that I would have done it long ago." Kiki chuckled.
"Wait, everyone try to use your power." I told the group. Kiki stared at a small rock, and her face started turning red, then purple.
"Stupid rock. I can probably destroy something that isn't as stubborn." Kiki said. Akashi started yelling at the sky. I guess her power is gone as well. "Rain please rain." Akashi begged. Diamond was on her knees crying.
"No more magic." She weeped. "No more levitation. No sorcery. It's all gone." Kiki started kicking an innocent tree, begging it to explode.
