For some time now, you had felt a strong connection to the old grump, as strange as it may be.
The way he walks, to the way he talks...hell even the way he shouts at you...everything about him attracts you to him more and more. You know whát they say, opposites attract.

Today was another training day with the old dog, and you were kind of dreading it. Yes, you didn't mind the 'being shouted at' part usually, but during training, when you are being barraged by words and fists? It is a little too much to handle. But you were a glutton for punishment.

You get into your training gear and check the clock. 6am. Perfect.

True to his military nature, he liked to be up early and to bed late. So early morning training was a standard at Overwatch headquarters. But what if you slept in? What if you forgot? What if you just couldn't be bothered?
Well, you would be running laps at 4am until you couldn't run anymore. And then he would make you run until you collapsed with exhaustion.

Unfortunatly, this didn't stop almost everyone from missing it, or 'forgetting' about it, then trying to worm their way out of punishment, to no avail.
Some were lucky however. He didn't make everyone train with him, just us 'useless and ungrateful kids' as he called us. Real pleasent.
So it's me, Tracer, D.VA, Lucio and occassionally Mei. He normally let Mei off as she wasn't classed as 'one of us', and most of the time D.Va too. She always got special treatment. We all think he has a thing for her...and man does that piss me off.

Anyways! Off to training I guess. Got to mentally and physically prepare.

((Time skipsssssyyy))

Punch.
Duck.
Swing.
Duck.
Kick.

Ouch....

You managed to hold your ground for a while, but Soldier 76 has many more tricks than you, and unceromoniusly thumped you upside the head with a swift kick to the backs of your knees, which made you crumple to a heap on the ground.
He just towers over you, a soft glow emitting from his visor, staring you down.

You manage to pull yourself up, rubbing the back of your head to find that you are bleeding. Bummer.
You grab a towel and hold it to the back of your head, Soldier staring at you the whole time, his expression unreadable due to that damn mask he wore.
Why did he want to cover his face? Is it cause he is too hot to handle? Probably.

Once you have cleaned your wound, you throw the towel back to the side and get back into a fighting stance. This time you'll get him.

He accepts your offer for a rematch by assuming his fighting stance, fists clenching tighter than normal. You've got this!

Thump.
The great and mighty Soldier 76 lays on the floor in front of you in a heap, holding his head. You did it. You actually took him down.
You smiled wider than ever, pleased that you managed to achieve something as great as this!
You extend your hand to the fallen Soldier, all the while staring at the ground. Did you do something wrong?...

He eventually took your hand and you hauled him up.
''Sorry about that 76, I didn't mean to do it that forcefully'' you mention, looking downcast.
Sometimes victory isn't sweet.
He just grunted at you and left, grabbing a clean towel and placing it against his wound as he left.

Feeling even worse about downing him, you left behind him, staring at the floor as you did so.
