"Now class, today we will just be reading our own books to work on our book reports" the teacher said.
Yes, finally! I thought to myself. I really didn't like the book I was reading but it gave me a chance to sit by him... my boyfriend. His name was Zayn, beautiful, tall, and strong. As soon as the teacher said that we could sit anywhere we want, he whipped his head around and looked back at me, as if to say "I really want to sit with you. As soon as she dismissed us, we shot to the back of the room, under a table where no one could see us.
"Hey beautiful" he said in a low voice. His brown hair was about in his eyes. He needs a haircut. I thought to myself. Me and Zayn have been dating for about a year now and going strong. After a while of "reading" which meant talking, joking, and messing around silently, it kind of died down. Everyone was into their book and the teacher had left the room. He cupped my face and gave me a short sweet kiss, right as the teacher walked into the room.
After a while longer, the bell rang. I walked out of class next to Zayn, talking about how we were going to hang out after school.
"So I'll see you after school? By my car?" he asked.
"Yea that sounds great" I replied. Zayns a Junior and I'm only a sophmore so he drives me home every day. I don't live very far away but he still insists that he takes me home. He's so sweet that way.
I didn't have my next class with Zayn so we parted ways. After school was older I was walking out to his car when I saw someone out of the corner of my eye coming towards me. I kept on walking but they still followed. When I got to the car I pointed out the person to Zayn.
"Hmm I dont know" he said
"Well he was kind of creeping me out, like he walked the way zombies do on t.v." I replied
"You watch too much of that stuff" he replied in a joking kind of way. We go to his house and pulled into the driveway.
I was about to get out of the car when an alert came on the radio.
"Wait" I said to Zayn, motioning for him to stay in the car.
The radio was static but I could still hear it.
"Alert, I repeat Alert. There has been new finding that a creature has broken out of a science lab and is on the loose and dangerous. Scientist won't release much information, just that the creature... was a zombie" then the conection was lost.
I looked at Zayn, Zayn looked at me.
"I'm pulling the car into the garrage. Get into the house. Lock the doors, call our parents. Then go into my room and wait for me there." He said
I did what he told me to and not long after I entered his room did he come in. He locked his door and sat down next to me on his bed. I looked out the window to se a very scary sight. Zombies. Everywhere. Walking the streets.
